AB  - Pseudobrookite based nanopowder was obtained by solid state synthesis of starting hematite and anatase nanopowders in the weight ratio 55:45. Structural and morphological properties were analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), BET, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Raman spectroscopy, UV/Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) confirming the formation of nanocrystalline pseudobrookite. The obtained powder was mixed with a binder (ethyl cellulose), dispersant (alpha-terpinol) and adhesion agents (acetic acid and distilled water) to obtain a thick film paste. It was screen printed on alumina substrate with interdigitated PdAg electrodes and fired at 600 degrees C for 30 min. Formation of a porous nanocrystalline thick film structure was shown using Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), while Hall measurements enabled determination of carrier mobility. Change of impedance response in the frequency range 42 Hz-1 MHz with humidity was analyzed at room temperature (25 degrees C) and 50 degrees C in the relative humidity range 30-90% and 40-90%, respectively. At 42 Hz, and room temperature the impedance reduced similar to 28 times, while at 50 degrees C it reduced similar to 147 times in the relative humidity range 40-90%. The sensor showed rapid response (16 s) and relatively low hysteresis (8.39% at 25 degrees C and 2.64% at 50 degrees C) showing that this is a promising material for application in humidity sensing.

AB  - Based on investigations of ash deposit formation, semi-empirical indicators for slagging and fouling, based on ash chemical composition and its fusion temperature, have been determined. These criteria-indicators, in suggested limits, describe the coals on which they are based (North-American and British) well. However, the experience in the thermal power production sector of Serbia shows that their literal application to domestic coals does not produce satisfactory results. This contribution provides an analysis of applicability and the choice of criteria that are suitable for Serbian coals. The focus of the contribution is on coal slagging indicators, since slagging has much heavier consequences on heat transfer inside the steam boiler, and on boiler operation as a whole. The basis for the analysis of chosen criteria comprises of the results of investigations of four coal fields - Kostolac, Kolubara, Kosovo (Serbia), and Ugljevik (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

AB  - The aim of the investigation was to make some reconstructions on the existing stove used for cooking and baking and to obtain the combined cooker-boiler which will fulfill the demands of European standard EN 12815. Implementation of modern scientific achievements in the field of combustion on stoves and furnaces fired on solid fuels was used. During the investigations four various constructions were made with different fresh air inlet and secondary air supply with the intention to obtain more complete combustion with increased efficiency and reduced CO emission. Three different fuels were used: firewood, coal, and wood briquette. A numerous parameters were measured: fuel weight changes during the combustion process, temperature of inlet and outlet water, flue gas composition (O2, CO, SO2, CO2, NOx), flue gas temperature, ash quantity etc. The result of the investigations is the stove with the efficiency of more than 75% - boiler Class 1 (according EN 12815) and CO emission of about 1% v/v. The results obtained during the measurements were used as parameters for modeling of combustion process.

AB  - Razvijena je unapređena konstrukcija originalnog kombinovanog štednjaka kotla MBS 90KV. Konstrukcija je unapređena da bi se zadovoljili zahtevi evropskog propisa o ovoj vrsti proizvoda EN 12815, koji je stupio na snagu marta 2002. godine. Na ranije projektovanoj i izvedenoj ispitnoj instalaciji obavljena su ispitivanja nazivne toplotne snage, vremena postizanja stacionarnog stanja i stepena korisnosti pri pogonu na tri različita goriva ogrevno drvo, ugalj i briket od ostatka prerade drveta. U radu je izložen deo rezultata dobijenih ovim ispitivanjima.
AB  - The improved construction of original combined stove- -boiler MBS 90 KV has been developed. The construction is improved in order to live up requests of the European regulation of this kind of products EN 12815, which has went into effect in March 2002. On already designed and performed test installation, the tests of thermal power, time of reaching the steady state and the design of performance during driving by three different fuels: wood coal and briquette from the wood treatment, have been carried out. The paper deals with a part of the results obtained by this testing.

AB  - JP EPS realizuje još od 1993. godine projekat uvođenja kvaliteta sa ciljem da se ostvari kontinualno snabdevanje potrošača dovoljnim količinama električne energije, racionalan i profitabilan rad, sa konačnim ciljem dostizanja upravljanja potpunim kvalitetom. Cilj projekta bio je da se propiše i uspostavi procedura ulazne kontrole za sve tečne energente koji se koriste u termoelektranama i rudnicima uglja u sistemu EPS-a. Propisivanje i uspostavljanje procedure ulazne kontrole kvantiteta i kvaliteta obuhvatalo je sprovođenje sledećih aktivnosti: snimanje postojećeg stanja ulazne kontrole kvantiteta i kvaliteta tečnih goriva, pregled postupaka i metoda za kontrolu kvantiteta i kvaliteta nafte i naftnih proizvoda na osnovu jugoslovenskih standarda i pravilnika i predlog konkretnih mera za ulaznu kontrolu kvantiteta i kvaliteta u termoelektranama i rudnicima EPS-a. Centar za kvalitet JP EPS pristupio je konkretnoj realizaciji sprovođenja ulazne kontrole kvantiteta i kvaliteta tečnih goriva izradom priručnika podsetnika, obrazaca i održavanjem kurseva.
AB  - Public enterprise Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) has been implementing the project of quality introduction since 1993 with the aim to achieve continual supply of consumers with sufficient amounts of electric power cost-effective and profitable operation and the final goal, the complete quality management. The purpose of this project is to prescribe and establish a procedure of input control of all liquid fuels used in the thermo-electric power plants and coalmines in the system of EPS. The prescription and establishment of the procedure of input quantity and quality control comprises the following activities: the recording of the existing conditions of input quantity and quality control of liquid fuels, review of procedures and methods for quantity and quality control of oil and oil products on the basis of Yugoslav standards and regulations and the proposal of specific measures for input quantity and quality control in thermoelectric power plant and surface excavation sites of EPS. The quality centre of the public enterprise EPS started with the implementation of input quantity and quality control of liquid fuels by making instruction books, reminders, and forms and by organizing courses.

AB  - Pojave samozagrevanja i samopaljenja su izuzetno važne pri skladištenju uglja jer mogu da dovedu do pogoršanja kvaliteta uglja i čitavog niza problema, pa čak i do prekida rada termoenergetskih postrojenja. Ove pojave se posebno proučavaju kod niskokaloričnih ugljeva koji pokazuju veću sklonost ka samopaljenju. U raduje dat pregled postojećih modela i za izabrani model izvršena je analiza uticaja karakteristika skladišta, karakteristika okoline i karakteristika uglja na pojavu samopaljenja.
AB  - The phenomena of self-heating and self-ignition are very important during the coal storage in stockpile. They can have the influence on decrease of coal quality and cause some problems in the thermal power plant operation. These phenomena are the subject of numerous investigations, especially for low rank coals due to their higher tendency to self-ignition. In this paper, the review of models is presented and for the accepted model the influence of the stockpile, atmospheric conditions and coal characteristics on the self-ignition are analyzed.

Sredinom 2000. godine, pripremljena su i obavljena ispitivanja prototipa ovog proizvoda. Ispitivanja su obavljena uglavnom prema zahtevima predloga propisa EN DIN 12815. Shodno zahtevima iz ovog propisa, projektovana je i izvedena ispitna instalacija i izvršeni su izbor i analiza goriva za ispitivanja. Ispitivani su nazivna toplotna snaga, vreme postizanja stacionarnog stanja i stepen korisnosti pri pogonu na ugalj i ogrevno drvo. U ovom radu iznesen je deo rezultata dobijenih ovim ispitivanjima.
AB  - On the domestic and international market, the Factory "Milan Blagojević" Smederevo, is famous for its solid fuel ranges (well-known as "Smederevac") In the frame of new products development and following the market interests in the recent years, the development of the combined boiler - range MBS 90KV has started. In the middle of 2000, the tests of the prototype of this product were prepared. The tests were carried mainly according to the proposal of EN DIN 12815. According to these regulations, the test installation has been designed and performed, and the choice and analysis of fuel for tests were made. The tests included; the nominal thermal power, the time required for obtaining the steady-state and the coefficient of utilization during operation with coal and wood. This paper deals with one part of the results of these tests.

AB  - U uslovima rata i bombardovanja rafinerija u SRJ, snabdevanje tečnim gorivima koja se koriste u EPS-u bilo je otežano. JP EPS je u saradnji sa Laboratorijom za goriva i sagorevanje Mašinskog fakulteta u Beogradu (LGS-MFB) pristupio resa van ju navedenog problema realizacijom projekta 'Mogućnost zamene mazuta sirovom naftom i/ili formiranje mešavine mazuta i sirove nafte'. Preduslov za realizaciju projekta bilo je: sagledavanje tehničke dokumentacije postojećih sistema za napajanje tečnim gorivom blokova termoelektrana, prikupljanje podataka o ranije korišćenom gorivu prikupljanje podataka o domaćim naftama i obavljanje konkretnih analiza sirovih nafti i njihovih mešavina sa mazutom u LGS-u. Na osnovu izvršenih ispitivanja sirove nafte VEN i odgovarajućih mešavina VEN-a i mazuta, kao i sagledavanja postojećeg sistema za napajanje tečnim gorivom, zaključeno je da je moguća primena kako čiste sirove nafte VEN, tako i odgovarajućih mešavina VEN-a i mazuta, pod uslovom da se sprovedu pooštrene mere zaštite pri transportu, skladištenju i posebno pri rukovanju i izvrši podešavanje uslova korišćenja.
