AB  - Udzbenik "Matemačka fizika" nastao je na osnovu udžbenika "Metode matematicke fizike" dodavanjem poglavlja o parcijalnim jednačinama prvog reda. Upotpunjen je i velikim brojem zadataka, kako bi lakše razumela izložena teorija. Ovo drugo izdanje  udžbenika   predstavlja doradjen udzbenik "Matematička fizika", Naime, dodata su nova poglavlja: "Frakcioni izvodi" (M. Lazarević) i, u numerickom delu, "Zapreminski elementi" (N. Mladenović). Pored ovog, izvrsene su manje izmene u nekim delovima knjige (dodat Gram-Smitov postupak ortogonalizacije, proširen deo o Eliptickim integralima, dotate neke specijalne funkcije, ...). Dodati su i novi zadaci, za koje smatramo da bi bili zanimljivi studentima Geofizike.

AB  - Sensitivity analysis is the study of changes in system response with respect to design parameters.
It is being used in a variety of engineering disciplines ranging from automatic control theory to
the analysis of large-scale physiological systems. Some of areas where sensitivity analysis has
been applied include: development of insensitive control systems, use in gradient-based
mathematical programming methods and approximation of system response to change in a system
parameter, assessment of design changes on system performance. Eigensensitivity analysis
represents a collection of mathematical methods for analyzing structures which is, within
dynamical modification, related to sensitivity of eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Therefore, the
application of sensitivity analysis is limited to construction of segments for which necessary
mathematical relations can be determined. If this is not possible, sensitivity analysis is only
partially applicable. Eigenvalue sensitivity analysis is useful when resonant frequencies need to
be restricted. Different methods for analyzing structural eigensensitivity are considered. An
example is given to illustrate an optimization problem for a system with repeated frequencies.

Uticaj masenog prinosa tritikala na brzinu žetve

AB  - U ovom radu analizirana je uticaj prinosa tritikala na brzinu kretanja kombajna tokom žetve. Sistem za merenje lokacijski specifičnog prinosa postavljen je na kombajn širine zahvata 6 metara. Nakon žetve prinos je podeljen u tri grupe, kao mali, srednji i velik prinos, i potom pomoću Kruskal-Volisovog H testa analizirana je brzina za svaku grupu prinosa duž parcele. Ustanovljeno je da se na analiziranoj parceli brzine razlikuju i na osnovu srednjih vrednosti rangova grupa zaključeno je da brzina opada sa smanjenjem prinosa, pa se pristupilo naknadnoj analizi razlike među grupama pomoću Man-Vitnijevog U testa. Brzine kretanja kombajna tokom žetve tritikala na analiziranoj parceli razlikuju se statistički značajno pri poređenju sve tri grupe, i to sa malim i srednjim uticajem prema Koenovom kriterijumu. AB  - This paper analyzes the effect of triticale yield on the speed of the combine during harvest. Monitoring system for the site-specific yield is mounted to harvester with 6 meters wide header. After harvest, the yield is divided into three groups, as well as small, medium and large yield, and then using the Kruskal-Wallis H test analyzed the rate of speed for each group along the plot. It was found for analyzed field that the speeds different and based on the average value ranges group concluded that the speed decreases with increasing yield, and access the subsequent analysis of the differences between the groups using the Mann-Whitney U test. The speed of the combine during harvest triticale in the analyzed plot differ significantly when comparing the three groups, and small and medium impact to Cohen's criteria based on effect size.

AB  - A complex flow pattern occurring in a circular conduit bend with supercritical flow has been studied. The main objective was to obtain reliable criteria for prediction of the onset of helical and choking flow, in order to facilitate the design of bottom outlets, tunnel spillways and drainage collectors with bends. A series of scale model experiments provided data for developing empirical relationships describing the effects of the bend curvature, bend deflection angle and approach flow conditions (relative flow depth and Froude number) on the inception of helical and choking flow. Expressions for the energy bend loss coefficient were also proposed. The bend curvature and approach flow conditions proved to have a major influence on the onset of helical flow, while the deflection angle becomes an important parameter for angles less than 45 degrees. Bend curvature and deflection angle have commensurable influence on the onset of choking flow.

Termičko naponsko stanje gravitacionih brana od valjanog betona

AB  - Beton zbijen valjanjem ('valjani beton' ili 'RCC' - Roller Compacted Concrete) je vrsta betona sa niskim sadržajem cementa koja se često koristi kod betonskih gravitacionih brana. U radu je razmatran prostorni model za neustaljenu faznu termičko- naponsku analizu brana od valjanog betona. Kalibracija i verifikacija modela uređeni su na osnovu terenskih merenja na brani Platanovrisi. Istraživanje je urađeno uzimajući u obzir stvarnu geometriju brane, dinamiku ugradnje RCC-a i stvarne osobine materijala. Rezultati proračuna pokazuju da razvijeni 3D model omogućava pouzdano predviđanje termičkih napona i određivanje rastojanja između razdelnica kod gravitacionih RCC brana.
AB  - Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) is a special concrete mixture with low cement content, frequently used for concrete gravity dams. This paper deals with the 3D finite element model for unsteady phased thermal-stress analysis of RCC dams. Model calibration and verification has been done, based on the in-situ measurements of the Platanovryssi dam. The study has been done using the actual dam shape, RCC time schedule, and material properties. The results prove that the recommended 3D model enables a reliable thermal-stress prediction and transversal joint distance computation for an RCC gravity dam.

AB  - This paper analyzes theoretically the motion and flow of eight fruit types, along rotating sizing machines. It starts from differential equation of fruit motion on a rotating disk of the sizing machine. A universal method that can generally be applied to determine the flow of all types of rotary sizing machine is developed. Flow analysis comprised sized fruit mass and flow. New empirical coefficients were introduced: extent ratio, feed ratio and distribution ratio. In particular, the influence of the relative speed of fruit on the capacity of sizing machines is researched. The results obtained for the adopted values extend, feed and distribution ratio k(e) = 0,7; k(f) = 1; k(d) = 0,5 coincide approximately with those reported to date for fruit flow rate on sizing machines. It was found that flow rates vary considerably, depending on fruit diameter and mass. Fruit numbers flow ranges from 8949 crops/h for apple to 40.157 crops/h for deep frozen raspberry. Mass flow varies from 229,1 kg/h for cherry to 2054,7 kg/h for apple.

AB  - U ovom radu teoretski je analizirano kretanje i protok osam vrsta voća duž rotacionog kalibratora. Polazi se od diferencijalne jednačine kretanja voća na rotirajućem disku kalibratora. Razvijen je opšti model koji može biti primenjen za određivanje protoka za sve tipove rotacionih kalibratora. Analiza protoka obuhvatila je masu i protok kalibriranog voća. Uvedeni su novi iskustveni koeficijenti: koeficijent procentualnog iskorišćenja obima diska, koeficijent punjenja i koeficijent raspodele plodova. Posebno je istražen uticaj relativne brzine voća na kapacitet kalibratora. Za usvojene vrednosti navedenih koeficijenata ke = 0.7, kf = 1, kd = 0.5 dobijeni su rezultati koji se približno poklapaju sa do sada poznatim protocima voća na kalibratorima. Ustanovljeno je da protoci veoma variraju u zavisnosti od dijametra i mase voća. Količinski protok varira od 8949 plod/h za jabuku do 40157 plod/h za duboko zamrznutu malinu. Maseni protok varira od 229,1 kg/h za višnju do 2054,7 kg/h za jabuku.
AB  - This paper analyzes theoretically the motion and mass quantity of eight fruit types, roundish in shape, along rotating sizing machines. Mathematical model of the motion of fruit on the rotating disc is solved in spherical coordinate system which is tied to the disc. The exact solution is simplified introducing assumptions that are do not significantly affect the accuracy of the solution. Starting from differential equation of fruit motion on a rotating disk of the sizing machine, all forces acting on fruit were determined as well as velocities and time necessary for fruit to reach the disk rim if found in some upper position on the cone. Mass quantity analysis comprised sized fruit mass and weight capacity. New empirical coefficients were introduced: extent ratio, feed ratio and distribution ratio. The results obtained for the adopted values ke = 0.7, kf = 1, kd = 0.5 coincide approximately with those reported to date for fruit mass quantity rate on sizing machines. AB  - U radu je analizirano složeno strujanje koje nastaje u krivini zatvorenog provodnika u burnom toku. Ispitivanja su urađena na hidrauličkom fizičkom modelu, ali i na numeričkom, formiranom u okviru programskog paketa Ansys (Fluent). Rezultati sa hidrauličkog modela su korišćeni za kalibraciju numeričkog, pa je u okviru rada prikazano poređenje rezultata dobijenih na pomenuta dva modela, sa komentarima i preporukama za njihovu primenu. Na osnovu izvršenih ispitivanja date su jednostavne zavisnosti kojima se opisuje uticaj veličine skretnog ugla i prilaznih uslova tečenja (dubina i Frudov broj uzvodno od krivine) na razmatrano tečenje.
AB  - In this paper a complex flow pattern occurring in a closed conduit bend with supercritical flow is analyzed. The research was done by a scale (physical hydraulic) model, and a numerical model developed in Ansys (Fluent) program surrounding. This article compares the results obtained by numerical and physical (scale) models, providing comments and recommendations for their application. Based on these results, simple empirical relationships were developed, describing the effects of the bend deflection angle and approach flow conditions (non dimensional depth and the Froude number upstream from the bend) on the considered flow.

AB  - Tema rada je modeliranje strujnog polja na stepenastom brzotoku brane Bogovina. Analiza je sprovedena na rezultatima dobijenih pomoću: fizičkog modela, empirijskih jednačina i numeričkog modela. Slaganja rezultata empirijskih jednačina i numeričkog modela su u prihvatljivim granicama, dok je primećeno njihovo značajno odstupanje od rezultata merenja na fizičkom modelu. Uzrok ovih razlika je proces samo-aeracije mlaza. Budući da je ovaj proces važan za ovaj vid strujanja, nepohodno je poboljšati postojeće empirijske zavisnosti i numeričke modele.
AB  - This paper deals with flow modelling of the stepped spillway for the Bogovina dam. The analysis was conducted using three approaches: scalemodelling, empirical equations and numerical modelling. An acceptable agreement was achieved between the empirical equations and the numerical model results, while both of them exhibit considerable differences when compared to scale-model. These discrepancies can be contributed to the difficulties in modelling the process of air-entrainment. Since air-entrainment is important for providing good estimates, existing empirical equations as well as numerical models require further improvements.

An acceptable agreement was achieved between the empirical equations and the numerical model results, while both of them exhibit considerable differences when compared to scale-model. These discrepancies can be contributed to the difficulties in modelling the process of air-entrainment. Since air-entrainment is important for providing good estimates, existing empirical equations as well as numerical models require further improvements.",

AB  - Analizirano je složeno strujanje koje nastaje u krivini kružnog provodnika pri burnom toku. Ispitivanja su urađena na hidrauličkom fizičkom modelu, kao i na numeričkom modelu, zasnovanom na programskom paketu ANSYS (Fluent). Prikazani su rezultati dobijeni na pomenuta dva modela, sa komentarima i preporukama za njihovu primenu. Predložene su jednostavne zavisnosti kojima se opisuje uticaj zakrivljenosti, skretnog ugla i prilaznih uslova tečenja (dubina i Frudov broj uzvodno od krivine) na razmatrano tečenje.
AB  - Complex flow pattern occurring in a circular conduit bend with supercritical flow is analyzed. The research was done by a scale (physical hydraulic) model, and a numerical model developed in ANSYS (Fluent) surrounding. The results obtained by physical (scale) and numerical models are presented, with comments and recommendations for their application. Simple empirical relationships were developed, describing the effects of the bend curvature, bend deflection angle and approaching flow conditions (depth and Froude number upstream from the bend) on the considered flow.

AB  - U radu su analizirani gubici energije u krivini koji nastaju pri burnom tečenju u provodniku kružnog poprečnog preseka. Urađena su hidraulička modelska ispitivanja, na osnovu kojih su određeni koeficijenti gubitka energije. Predloženi su izrazi za koeficijent gubitka u zavisnosti od karakteristika krivine (skretnog ugla i zakrivljenosti). S obzirom da u literaturi ne postoje izrazi kojima se opisuje ovakav gubitak energije u krivini, predložene zavisnosti su upoređene sa izrazi a ko i se odnose na tečenje pod pritiskom. Na kraju rada su date preporuke i zaključci.
AB  - In this paper the energy loss in a circular conduit bend with supercritical flow is analyzed. Based on the test results obtained by a scale model, the energy-loss coefficient has been determined. Simple empirical relationships were developed, describing the effects of the bend curvature and bend deflection angle on the energy losses. Since no expressions for supercritical flow bend energy-loss coefficient exist, proposed empirical relationships have been compared with expressions relating to pressurized flow.

The temperature field is computed first, providing a drive for the unsteady, nonlinear, viscoelastic, stress-strain analysis. This model is devised with actual initial and boundary conditions, appropriate material properties, and the observed concrete placement schedule. The verification is based on the field investigations of the Platanovryssi dam. The results of a long-term analysis have shown close agreement with the observed dam conditions. The proposed model presents a reliable tool for thermal-stress computation and transverse contraction joint distance evaluation.

AB  - It happens very often that we want to design a cantilever beam, while all project
requirements are not fully known. Namely, we know roughly what the structure should
realize. In classical optimization standard procedure should be applied in order to satisfy all
the pre-requirements. What happens if the requirements can only be described, but not
explicitly set? This paper starts from the premise that some requirements are expressed
linguistically. We want that the length and the largest deflection of a cantilever beam are
suitable to satisfy the predetermined conditions. Also, the goals are that the bending stress
and the largest deflection have to be less than the allowable maximum value. The objective
of this paper is: on known constraints and known fuzzy goal functions we must execute
fuzzy projecting of a beam. Constraints are: the length of cantilever beam and its deflection,
while the goal functions are maximum bending stress and maximum deflection. On this
basis, with known cross-sectional dimensions, we can determine the maximum cantilever
beam load.

AB  - The problem of time minimization of a holonomic scleronomic mechanical system on a prescribed trajectory between two specified positions in configuration space is solved. The generalized force with restricted coordinates is taken as the controlling force. The application of the Green theorem (the well-known Miele method in flight mechanics) has shown that at every instant at least one control is at its boundary and possesses controlling functions with interruptions. It is assumed that at least one generalized coordinate exists that is monotonous during the interval of movement. An algorithm for numerical computation is presented for assessing the boundary of the admissible domain in the state space, thus, solving the problem of finding the optimal control as a function of time. Numerical integration is, therefore, carried out forward from the start point and backward from the end point by the use of the Runge-Kutta method. The mentioned procedure is illustrated in the example of time minimization for a manipulator which has its tip moving in a straight line. The application of the presented method simplifies solving of this type of problem compared to other methods, for instance, dynamic programming.

AB  - Sortiranje i kalibriranje jagodičastog voća ogleda se u visokim troškovima radne snage za izdvajanje oštećenih plodova i plodova po kvalitetu i veličini. Zahtevi koji se postavljaju pri sortiranju i kalibriranje jagodičastog voća se odnose i na tehnološke procese prethodnog hlađenja i zamrzavanje plodova čime se postiže mogućnost kvalitetnijeg izvršenja naknadnih mehaničkih operacija bez znatnih gubitaka. Razvoj rešenja za sortiranje i kalibriranje duboko zamrznutog voća treba tražiti u visoko proizvodnim sistemima sa minimalnim učešćem radne snage. Ovakav pristup zahteva primenu vibracionih sistema koji omogućavaju izdvajanje plodova na odgovarajućim sitima i sa odgovarajućim otvorima na sitima koja ostvaruju odvajanje plodova prema geometrijskim parametrima, odnosno prema propisanim klasama. Ovakvi vibracioni uređaji trebalo bi da obezbede i sortiranje i kalibriranje osim malina i jagode i kupine itd. U radu su data mašinska rešenja za sortiranje i kalibriranje sa posebnim osvrtom na optimizaciju parametara uređaja. Analizirana su i data rešenja ovih uređaja, izvršena optimizacija kinematskih parametara, dat adekvatan model vibracionog sistema koji omogućava traženu proizvodnost u cilju postizanja ekonomski opravdanijeg procesa izdvajanja duboko zamrznutih plodova po zadatim karakteristikama.
AB  - Sorting and calibrating berry fruits is a costly process in terms of human labor and time needed for the efficient sorting based on quality and size. Sorting and calibrating is performed on previously cooled or frozen products, which prevents damaging the product during mechanical processing. The development of new solutions for sorting and calibrating should go in the direction of high capacity machines, with minimum engagement of human labor. This approach requires application of vibrating screen separators with predefined screen sizes, in order to meet the required size and quality. These systems should be capable to sort other fruits, besides raspberries, strawberries and blackberries. This paper shows the solutions for mechanical sorting and calibrating, with special attention to the optimization of working parameters. Exact designs were analyzed, an optimization of kinematic parameters was performed, an adequate model of a vibration system was shown, which makes the requested productivity possible, for the purpose of achieving an economically justified process for separation of deep frozen products.

abstract = "Sortiranje i kalibriranje jagodičastog voća ogleda se u visokim troškovima radne snage za izdvajanje oštećenih plodova i plodova po kvalitetu i veličini. Zahtevi koji se postavljaju pri sortiranju i kalibriranje jagodičastog voća se odnose i na tehnološke procese prethodnog hlađenja i zamrzavanje plodova čime se postiže mogućnost kvalitetnijeg izvršenja naknadnih mehaničkih operacija bez znatnih gubitaka. Razvoj rešenja za sortiranje i kalibriranje duboko zamrznutog voća treba tražiti u visoko proizvodnim sistemima sa minimalnim učešćem radne snage. Ovakav pristup zahteva primenu vibracionih sistema koji omogućavaju izdvajanje plodova na odgovarajućim sitima i sa odgovarajućim otvorima na sitima koja ostvaruju odvajanje plodova prema geometrijskim parametrima, odnosno prema propisanim klasama. Ovakvi vibracioni uređaji trebalo bi da obezbede i sortiranje i kalibriranje osim malina i jagode i kupine itd. U radu su data mašinska rešenja za sortiranje i kalibriranje sa posebnim osvrtom na optimizaciju parametara uređaja. Analizirana su i data rešenja ovih uređaja, izvršena optimizacija kinematskih parametara, dat adekvatan model vibracionog sistema koji omogućava traženu proizvodnost u cilju postizanja ekonomski opravdanijeg procesa izdvajanja duboko zamrznutih plodova po zadatim karakteristikama., Sorting and calibrating berry fruits is a costly process in terms of human labor and time needed for the efficient sorting based on quality and size. Sorting and calibrating is performed on previously cooled or frozen products, which prevents damaging the product during mechanical processing. The development of new solutions for sorting and calibrating should go in the direction of high capacity machines, with minimum engagement of human labor. This approach requires application of vibrating screen separators with predefined screen sizes, in order to meet the required size and quality. These systems should be capable to sort other fruits, besides raspberries, strawberries and blackberries. This paper shows the solutions for mechanical sorting and calibrating, with special attention to the optimization of working parameters. Exact designs were analyzed, an optimization of kinematic parameters was performed, an adequate model of a vibration system was shown, which makes the requested productivity possible, for the purpose of achieving an economically justified process for separation of deep frozen products.",

AB  - Mašinko branje voća, prvenstveno koštićavog i jagodičastog voća predstavlja zahtevan zadatak zbog mogućeg oštećenja plodova pri kontaktu plodova sa granama, delovima mašine (uređaja), kao i pri padu na podlogu. U radu su prikazana tehnološko tehnička rešenja za branje višanja, šljiva i malina. Analizirane su specifičnosti pri branju i dati prikazi i rezultati otkidanja plodova pri oscilovanju nosećih struktura plodova. Prikazana su i razmatrana tehnološko tehnička rešenja pri mašinskom branju malina.
AB  - Mechanical harvest of fruit, primary stone and berry fruit is desired task toward possibility defect of product which is in contact with limbs, part of machines as well as when fruit fall on the ground. In this paper is shown technology-technical solution for harvest of sherries, plums and raspberry. It is analyzed specifics in harvest and shown results tweak products in oscillation stalk of fruit. It is shown technology - technical solution for mechanical harvest of raspberry.

AB  - Influence of lateral injected stream, perpendicular to the axis of regular conical nozzle with circular cross section, is analyzed both in subsonic and transonic three-dimensional, turbulent, viscous flows. Turbulence effects are introduced by the formulation based on turbulent kinetic energy. Influence of second fluid component will be analyzed by the application of volume of fluid mixing model. Application in development of machines and equipment for food industry was also analyzed. .

AB  - Mehanizovano ubiranje plodova koštičavog voća omogućava racionalniji i ekonomski opravdaniji način branja, u odnosu na ručni, koji u okviru proizvodnje voća predstavlja jedan od složenijih zadataka. Udeo radne snage pri mehanizovanom otresanju voća je znatno manji od ručnog branja, a efekti se vide i u vremenskom skraćenju ove operacije. Kod traktorskog tresača voća jedan od glavnih zadataka je izbor parametara vibratora. U radu je analiziran odziv stabla, grana i plodova, kao mehaničkog sistema, na pobudne parametre vibratora. Izvršena je optimizacija oscilovanja grana i plodova, do momenta otkidanja plodova i utvrđeni osnovni parametri koji utiču na efikasnost rada traktorskog tresača voća.
AB  - Mechanized stone fruit harvesting enables more rational and economical harvesting, compared to manual harvesting, which represents one of the more complex tasks within the production framework. The share of labor force in mechanized shaking of fruit is much smaller than with manual picking and the effects can also be observed in the shorter time needed for that operation. For tractor fruit shakers one of the main tasks is the selection of vibrator parameters. This paper analyzes the response of the tree, the branches and the fruit, comprising a mechanical system, to the actuating parameters of the vibrator. An optimization of the oscillation of branches and fruit up to the moment of separation of fruit has been performed, and basic parameters, that influence the work efficiency level of the tractor fruit shaker, were determined.

AB  - Razmatra se minimizacija vremena kretanja krutog tela uz neizmenjenu vrednost mehaničke energije. Za generalisane koordinate uzete su koordinate centra masa i Ojlerovi uglovi, čije su vrednosti zadate na početku i kraju intervala kretanja. Zadatak je rešen primenom Pontrjaginovog principa maksimuma. Numeričko rešenje dvotačkastog graničnog problema dobijeno je metodom konačnih razlika za sisteme običnih diferencijalnih jednačina. .
AB  - The time interval minimization of rigid body motion with constant mechanical energy has been considered in this paper. Generalized coordinates are Cartesian's coordinates of mass center and the Euler's angles, which are specified at the initial and the final position. The problem has been solved by the application of the Pontryagin's principle. Finite difference method has been applied in order to obtain the solution of the two-point boundary value problem. .

AB  - U radu se razmatra problem optimizacije funkcije upravljanja kontrolera aktivnog sistema naginjanja kod vozova velikih brzina, zasnovan na analizi različitih mehaničkih modela železničkih vozila velikih brzina sa samonaginjanjem. U skladu sa klasičnim mehaničkim modelom vozila formiran je odgovarajući mehanički model u obliku sistema krutih tela predstavljenog u vidu kinematičkih lanaca. Formiran je odgovarajući blok dijagram i funkcija upravljanja aktivnog sistema samonaginjanja vozila sa elektrohidrauličkim aktuatorima, za čiju osnovu je predložen osavremenjeni mehanički model vozila, koji omogućava optimalnu formu diferencijalnih jednačina kretanja vozila u koje je integrisana odgovarajuća upravljačka funkcija. .
AB  - The present paper deals with the problem of controller function in active system of tilting in high speed railway vehicles, which is based on different mechanical models of railway vehicles. According to the classical mechanical model of the vehicle, an appropriate mechanical multibody system is formed in this paper. In conformity with the basic constructive parameters of the active system of tilting, guidance control function of actuator operating process is formed. Basic mechanical model, in dependence of characteristic constructive parameters, according to the theory of robust robotic control is given in the form of closed kinematics chain with branching. For the concrete model of high speed railway vehicle, differential equations of motion are obtained in the form optimal for control function evaluation and calculation.

According to the classical mechanical model of the vehicle, an appropriate mechanical multibody system is formed in this paper. In conformity with the basic constructive parameters of the active system of tilting, guidance control function of actuator operating process is formed. Basic mechanical model, in dependence of characteristic constructive parameters, according to the theory of robust robotic control is given in the form of closed kinematics chain with branching. For the concrete model of high speed railway vehicle, differential equations of motion are obtained in the form optimal for control function evaluation and calculation.",

AB  - The kinetics and mechanism of hydrogen evolution at Ti-Ni alloys electrode has been studied by means of steady-state potentiostatic polarization and ac impedance spectrum measurements. Complex-plane spectrum plots are derived for the h.e.r. at one of the most inactive, typical hydridic, Ti-Ni, and one of the most active, typical electrocatalytic, Ti-Ni-3, intermetallic alloy compounds at various potentials. The rate constants of the forward and backward reactions of the corresponding steps were estimated by a nonlinear fitting method. It has been found that the overall reaction proceeds through a coupled Volmer-Heyrovsky mechanism. The electrocatalytic activity decreases in the order TiNi2 > TiNi3 > TiNi4 > Ti2Ni > TiNi > Ti3Ni > TiNi0.7.
