AB - Featured Application The nano BaTiO3 modification could lead towards innovation in nanocoating of ceramic grains in function of submicron intergranular capacitors. The electronic parameters integration in the frame of microelectronics in intergranular phenomena by fractals is opening novel route in miniaturization and integrations. Fractal analysis and calculations provide necessary fractal corrections for sample synthesis. Abstract The BaTiO3 ceramics applications based on electronic properties have very high gradient scientific and industrial-technological interests. Our scientific research has been based on nano BaTiO3 modified with Yttrium based organometallic salt (MOD-Y). The samples have been consolidated at a sintering temperature of 1350 degrees C. Within the study, the new frontiers for different electronic properties between the layers of BaTiO3 grains have been introduced. The research target was grain boundary investigations and the influence on dielectric properties. After scanning electron microscopy and dielectric measurements, it has been established that modified BaTiO3 samples with larger grains showed a better compact state that led to a higher dielectric constant value. DC bias stability was also investigated and showed a connection between the grain size and capacitance stability. Analyses of functions that could approximate experimental curves were successfully employed. Practical application of fractal corrections was performed, based on surface (alpha (s)) and pore size (alpha (p)) corrections, which resulted in obtainment of the relation between the capacitance and Curie temperature. Successful introduction of fractal corrections for capacitance-Curie temperature dependence for a set of experimental data is an important step towards further miniaturization of intergranular capacitors.

AB - Additive manufacturing involves manufacturing of products with complex geometry in relatively small quantities, as well as the tools and molds manufacturing for mass production. With additive manufacturing, digital models are being realized and implementation is huge in various industrial sectors. Compared to traditional manufacturing, the main parameters in the choice of additive technology are: energy savings, waste reduction, reduced use of more tools and optimization of design. Additive manufacturing or 3D printing technology works on the principle of adding material in layers, i.e. the model is formed from layers of molten material that is immediately cooled and solidified. 3D printing allows to work with customers to solve design problems before embarking on a launch production. The starting material for the model is polyactic acid (PLA). It is an eco-friendly thermoplastic polyester, that breaks down naturally. The mechanical characteristics of the realized PLA model are significantly influenced by various technological variables, such as following: nozzle diameter, thickness of defined layer, percentage of fill, sample size to be filled, filling rate and production temperature. The aim of this paper is to present the process of realization of an electronics enclosure for a compact pressure transmitter on a 3D printer. This gives the designer the possibility to correct existing errors, modify the product according to the wishes of the end users and finally provides a starting point for the prototype of new product.

AB - Gap analysis represents a tool for raising the level of performances of products, processes and enterprise organization which is rarely used in risk management. This paper proposes the joint application of Gap and Pareto analysis, in aim to mitigate possible risks in production processes. It is based on the facts that key points in the production process indicate some serious oversights (gaps), characterized as errors, which can grow into risky elements that disturb the manufacturing process and final transmitter assembly. In this paper, finalizing and assembling pressure transmitter elements (modules), created by a domestic manufacturer, served as an example for the Gap analysis. Each electronic transmitter is consisted of three modules: measurement cell, mechanical coupling fixture and enclosure containing the electronics and the terminal block box. Through the implementation and assembly of these modules errors (or elements of potential risks) have been identified. Later on, using the Pareto chart, it has been seen that 80% of errors made during the transmitter manufacturing process have occurred while implementing the first and the third transmitter module. Also, by analyzing the collected gaps, it has been concluded that the critical ones happen while using the existing technology and engaging workforce. In order to eliminate the above-mentioned errors, this paper decidedly presents the Gap analysis steps which should be followed, so the transmitter manufacturing process would be improved in terms of quality. Similar methodology could be applied to other products and processes.

AB - Metal membranes are defined as thin steel circular plates. The metal membranes are widely used in the measurement technique and they are constantly loaded over the entire surface. In case that a membrane is loaded with uniform load over the entire surface. In case that the membrane is stiffened over the edge, then it is called a diaphragm. According to the making method membranes are divided into flat and corrugated. Corrugated membranes are used mainly in a low pressure area. Membranes are most commonly made of firm alloy austenitic steel. In this paper numerical and experimental analysis of a thin corrugated diaphragm 24 mm diameter is presented, with variable material thickness and variable corrugations geometry. Experimental tests are conducted on a corrugated stainless steel (AISI 316) diaphragm. Experimental results are compared with numerical results in ANSYS software package. A comparative analysis of the sinusoidal and toroidal diaphragms has shown that there is a higher sensitivity of the sinusoidal diaphragm, that is, if the thickness of the diaphragm increases, and their stiffness is increased. In general, for small pressure ranges from 10 mbar to 50 mbar, the sinusoidal diaphragms have a faster response.
