Experimental and numerical investigation of thermal and flow conditions inside a large pharmaceutical storage after the ventilation system failure

AB  - Safe storage of pharmaceutical products is of great importance due to potential hazards for human health. The aim of this study was to assess the ability of phar-maceutical storage to recover design temperature during ventilation system recov-ery. The performed CFD simulations showed good agreement with experimental temperature measurements. Numerical results allowed in-depth analysis of flow field and temperature distribution inside the storage. It was discovered that the flow field is highly non -uniform, which consequently leads to an uneven tempera -ture distribution of pallets with products. However, a high inlet mass-flow rate ensured that all pallets reach the designed temperature.

Determining the Risk Level in Client Analysis by Applying Fuzzy Logic in Insurance Sector

AB  - The aim of the paper is to determine the risk level of a contract extension with the existing policyholders, which is further propagated to the business effectiveness and long-term sustainability of the company. The uncertainties in the relative importance of risk factors, their values, and risk levels are described by the linguistic forms, which are modeled by using the fuzzy sets theory. The evaluations of the relative importance of risk factors are stated as a fuzzy group decision-making problem. The weights of risk factors are obtained by using a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. The determination of production rules for the assessment of the risk level is based on fuzzy IF-THAN rules. The verification of the model is performed by using real-life data originating from the insurance company which operates in the Republic of Serbia.

AB  - Posledica globalnih megatrendova jesu značajne strukturne
promene kojima je izložena industrijska proizvodnja. Tema ovog rada jeste
Pametna fabrika, jedna od najpopularnijih i najrevolucionarnijih u oblasti
nauke i inženjerstva, dok je istovremeno i među najkontroverznijim sa
sociološkog, psihološkog, pa i političkog aspekta. Najveći deo analize će biti
usmeren na samu industriju i tehnologije, ali kako se za ovu industrijsku
revoluciju smatra da će najviše od svake do sada uticati na promenu samih
ljudi, biće reči i o tome. Ideja o revolucionarnom pristupu industriji nastala je
kao posledica eksponencijalnog razvoja tehnologija u poslednjih dvadeset
godina. Jednostavno, ljudi žele da sve ono što su otkrili pronađe svoju svrhu,
u punom potencijalu, gde god je to moguće. Taj proces iziskuje korenite
promene u svim sferama društva, a promene, naročito korenite, često
izazivaju mistifikaciju, strepnju ili oduševljenje.

AB  - The paper analyzes the importance of the application of methods and techniques of industrial engineering in the business environment of Industry 4.0. Survey done indicates that in the new business environment, the methods and techniques of industrial engineering come to full expression because cyberphysical systems give a complete insight into the nature of production processes. Accordingly, an example of an IE method application and ways of its integration in I4.0 environment is given and discussed.

AB  - International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology has recently established a specific interest group Pharma 4.0, with the aim of adjusting the pharmaceutical industry to the Industry 4.0 concept. The aim of this study was to select the best strategy for bringing the temperature mapping in the pharmaceutical warehouses closer to Industry 4.0. For this reason, a temperature mapping was performed. Based on the analysis of the obtained
results, a choice of optimal locations for continual monitoring was enabled. The human role herein was overseeing the process and reacting should the process could be disrupted. Progressing towards the Pharma 4.0 concept
enabled the control of processes guided by the data from the internal sensors, which will in the future guide HVAC system. Relatedly, the way in which the process of controlling environmental conditions in the pharmaceutical
warehouses can be automatized as it is outlined in the paper.

AB  - This paper presents decision-making model for maintenance strategy selection. Problem of right
maintenance strategy selection is one of the most important problem in manufacturing enterprises, process
industries or enterprises where failure of equipment has major impact on production flow, people, environment
or business costs. Presented decision making model for maintenance strategy selection takes into account risk
exposure to mechanical equipment failure, business costs, people health and environmental safety. At the other
hand each strategy options has its benefits expressed by cost savings. This decision making model for
maintenance strategy selection try to optimize between these opposite influential criteria.

Organizational and management change in industry 4.0

AB  - Key elements of Industry 4.0 are collaborative innovation, comprehensive integration, IoT, data driven and organizational change. This paper focus is analysis organizational change in new business environment. Management system in industry 4.0 can be viewed through three cycles: strategy, element and management cycle. Strategy cycle addresses on developing sustainable competitiveness or new capability. Element cycle is based on data driven-technology, business process and organizational structure. Management cycle is based on leadership role. Element cycle is analyzed, concrete organizational structure transformation to minimum viable organization (MVO) and management support for this process. Steps, phases and concepts for achieving MVO are discussed in this paper.

AB  - U radu se istražuje strategijski pristup upravljanja lancima snabdevanja sa stanovišta Lean distribucije. Upravljanje lancima snabdevanja je proces dizajniranja, planiranja, izvršenja, kontrole i nadgledanja aktivnosti lanaca snabdevanja sa svrhom da se kreira neto vrednost, koja izgrađuje konkurentnu infrastrukturu, balansira internacionalnu logistiku, sinhronizuje snabdevanje sa potrebama i meri performansu poslovanja na globalnom nivou. Najbolje kompanije na svetu nalaze novi izvor konkurentne prednosti u upravljanju lancima snabdevanja, koji sadrži veliki broj aktivnosti koje su integrisane, kako bi proizvod ili usluga za što kraće vreme došli na tržište i zadovoljili potrebe kupca. Istraživanje definiše pet osnovnih postavki implementacije strategije upravljanja lancima snabdevanja sa stanovišta Lean distribucije.

AB  - In the pharmaceutical industry, BMS qualifications are carried out by applying structures models for risk management, in accordance to relevant GMP requirements. In this paper, the FMEA method of risk analysis for assessing the scope and qualification level of the BMS was applied. FMEA is a desirable method for risk management in the pharmaceutical industry because it involves improved reliability, superior quality, increased security and it is based on understanding the processes and on knowledge of the characteristics of the system itself. Through this paper potential problems are identified, the level of risk is assessed, and actions to reduce or completely eliminate risks from their impact on the BMS are proposed.

AB  - Unlike previous studies that have revealed a link between quality improvement programs and organizational culture typologies in individual companies, this study describes organizational culture dimensions that affect the use of quality improvement tools and methodologies and how both affect supply chain company performance. Structural equation modeling methods are applied to a sample of 200 organizations in the supply chain of a Canadian multinational company. The results show that employee promotion and investment constitutes the most influential cultural dimension. Organizational objectives and an employee reward system individually affect Kaizen. When the level of formalization in an organization is high, Kaizen and total quality management tools are used more intensively. When the level of formalization is low, lean manufacturing and internal audits are used more intensively. Superior communication in an organization causes plan-do-check-act approaches, lean manufacturing methods, corrective actions and internal audits to be used less intensively. Generally speaking, most quality improvement tools and methodologies positively influence business performance. These results suggest that organizations can improve business performance levels by selecting appropriate quality improvement programs depending on existing organizational culture dimensions and may thereby develop an organizational culture that enables successful quality improvements in a supply chain context.

AB  - The paper reports investigation on the integration methods for risk management and multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) of production program for achieving better business results as well as mitigating business risks. Multiple criteria decision making was used to define the business strategy variant of production program. The starting point in defining the model of risk management integration for the choice of production program was to define the objective function and real constraints. It is found that the application of quantitative methods for risk assessment, i.e. Bayesian Network, for calculating total risk score more precisely describe a real state-of-art of the system compared to other risk assessment methods.
Implementation of the integrated model for risk management and MCDM in manufacturing enterprises increases the quality of decision-making, because for all possible production program variant, profit and total risk are calculated and used to conclusively choose the variant with a highest revenue and lowest risk for production loss occurrence.

AB  - Za savremenu poslovnu praksu rezultati predviđanja poslovanja su od suštinskog značaja za evaluaciju buduće finansijske efikasnosti preduzeća. Postupak planiranja i predviđanja naročito je značajan za preduzeća koja posluju u uslovima neizvesnosti. U radu je izložen primer planiranja i predviđanja poslovnih rezultata u osiguranju prilikom proračuna trenda premije linearnom i nelinearnom regresijom. Zbog neizvesnosti koja prati trenutak nastanka i iznosa štete neophodno je osigurati dovoljno sredstava za pokriće rizika. Za usklađivanje sredstava i obaveza potrebno je predvideti buduće kretanje premije po vrstama osiguranja, što čini osnovni koncept razvoja i poslovanja osiguravajućih društava.
AB  - In terms of modern business practice, business prediction results are crucially important for evaluation of future financial performance of a company. Planning and prediction procedures are especially important for companies operating under uncertainty. This paper shows an example of planning and prediction of business results in insurance when calculating premium trend by use of linear and nonlinear regression. Due to the uncertainty associated with the moment of claim occurrence and claim amount, it is necessary to secure enough assets to cover the risks. Asset-liability matching requires the prediction of future premium movement per insurance lines which represents the basic concept of development and operation of insurance companies.

Zbog neizvesnosti koja prati trenutak nastanka i iznosa štete neophodno je osigurati dovoljno sredstava za pokriće rizika. Za usklađivanje sredstava i obaveza potrebno je predvideti buduće kretanje premije po vrstama osiguranja, što čini osnovni koncept razvoja i poslovanja osiguravajućih društava., In terms of modern business practice, business prediction results are crucially important for evaluation of future financial performance of a company. Planning and prediction procedures are especially important for companies operating under uncertainty. This paper shows an example of planning and prediction of business results in insurance when calculating premium trend by use of linear and nonlinear regression. Due to the uncertainty associated with the moment of claim occurrence and claim amount, it is necessary to secure enough assets to cover the risks. Asset-liability matching requires the prediction of future premium movement per insurance lines which represents the basic concept of development and operation of insurance companies.",

AB  - This article presents new model of enterprises resource planning implementation planning process in manufacturing enterprises based on assessment of risk sources. This assessment was performed by applying analytic hierarchy process. Analytic hierarchy process method allows variation of relative importance of specific risk sources dependent on the section from which the risk source originates (organizational environment, technical issues, people issues, adoption process management, and external support). Survey was conducted on 85 manufacturing enterprises involved with an enterprises resource planning solution. Ranking of risk sources assessments returns most frequent risks of enterprises resource planning implementation success in manufacturing enterprises, and representative factors were isolated through factor analysis by risk source origin. Finally, results indicate that there are hidden causes of failed implementation, for example, risk source "top management training and education," from risk origin "adoption process management."

AB  - The determination of the optimal purchasing strategy in enterprise that is a part of global supply chain could be performed in two steps. In step one, a classification of potential suppliers is performed in order to determine the optimal portfolio of suppliers. This is delivered by using the fuzzy multicriteria proposed ABC classification method. Uncertainties in relative importance of criteria and their values are described by linguistic expressions. Modelling of linguistic expressions is based on the fuzzy sets theory. In the second step, ranking of optimal portfolio of suppliers is performed by using the modified ELECTRE method. The obtained results represent valuable input for determining the long time purchasing strategy and building partnership with the best suppliers. The developed two-step model is verified on real life data. The obtained results indicate good compliance with the opinions management in this type of industry. It is worth to mention that the proposed model can be easily extended and adopted to the analysis of other issues of management which could be applicable in different research areas.

AB  - Cilj ovog rada je primena metode zasnovane na viševarijantnoj statističkoj tehnici u cilju određivanja kritičnih dimenzija kabine krana, sa maksimalnom ergonomskom prilagođenošću radi smeštaja što šireg opsega populacije i veće bezbednosti rada. Korišćena je viševarijantna tehnika - faktorska analiza. Rezultati ovog istraživanja sprovedenog na uzorku 83 operatora pokazuju da se faktorskom analizom veći broj faktora raspoređuje u trodimenzionalnom prostoru. Rezultati ovog rada omogućavaju projektantima rešavanje dilema, a zahvaljujući rezultatima ovog rada mogu se projektovati kabine krana sa manje stresnim položajem operatera i povećanom produktivnosti i bezbednosti.
AB  - Purpose of this paper is application of method based on multivariate statistical technique in order to determine critical dimensions of the crane cabin, which would maximize adjustability and ergonomics of the product, resulting in accommodation of wider range of the population and greater safety while operating. Multivariate statistical technique used for this purpose is factor analysis. Results of this research, conducted on a sample consisted of 83 crane cabin operators, showed that while designing a working space critical anthropomeasures take three-dimensional space, while their influence contributions in each dimension are determined with factor analysis. Results of this work are expected to be useful for industry in a way such that crane cabins' designers can troubleshoot the dilemmas they encounter in their job. Using findings of this survey might lead to new designs of cabins that will offer less strenuous postures of operator, which consequently will improve productivity and safety.

AB  - Inherent safety is a proactive approach for loss or elimination of hazard values and risk management. Expansion of safety relating to process and production in a supply chain in an uncertain environment has a critical effect on the competitive advantage of each food industrial organization. In this article, the fuzzy rating weights of each pair of the considered hazards and uncertain hazard values are described by linguistic expressions modelled by triangular fuzzy numbers. The fuzzy extent approach for the synthetic extent values of the pairwise comparison for handling fuzzy analytic hierarchical process is used to calculate the weight vector. The proposed fuzzy model is arranged in a hierarchical structure, so that the output of one interference system is used as an input for the second interference step. In the first of interference steps, the total hazard value for each identified process is calculated using the fuzzy algebra rules. In the second interference step, the inherent safety index for each process is determined on the basis of total hazard value, using the IF-THEN fuzzy logic rules. It is shown that the proposed fuzzy model is highly suitable as a decision making tool for making decisions about the inherent safety index of food industrial processes.

AB  - Continuous business process improvement is a well-known strategy referred to as the Japanese approach to industrial production. Nowadays, it presents one of the basic requirements set by the ISO 9004:2000 standard. A new fuzzy model based on the Ishikawa diagram is proposed, whereby the rank of business losses of the main process at the manufacturing company level is determined, respecting the values of identified causes that lead to the formation of business losses, as well as their relative importance. In this article, it is assumed that the relative importance and values of causes are determined by descriptive linguistic expressions. The linguistic expressions are obtained by the fuzzy rating of a management team. The proposed algorithm determines the business losses with the highest possibility of occurrence and calculates the degrees of beliefs that some business losses are more likely to happen than the others. Real-life industrial data on small and medium companies operating in central Serbia and numerical examples are given to illustrate the method.

AB  - This paper reports the results of investigations on manufacturing cycle times for special-purpose products. The company performs serial production characterized by complex and diverse technologies, alternative solutions and combined modes of workpiece movement in the manufacturing process. Because of various approaches to this problem, an analysis of previous investigations has been carried out, and a theoretical base is provided for the technological cycle and factors affecting the manufacturing cycle time. The technological and production documentation of the company has been analysed to establish the technological and real manufacturing cycle times, total losses and flow coefficients. This paper describes the original approach to production cycle scheduling on the grounds of investigations of manufacturing capacity utilization levels and causes of loss, in order to measure their effects and to reduce the flow coefficient to an optimum level. The results are a segment of complex studies on the production cycle management of complex products, accomplished in the company in the period from 2010 to 2012.

The technological and production documentation of the company has been analysed to establish the technological and real manufacturing cycle times, total losses and flow coefficients. This paper describes the original approach to production cycle scheduling on the grounds of investigations of manufacturing capacity utilization levels and causes of loss, in order to measure their effects and to reduce the flow coefficient to an optimum level. The results are a segment of complex studies on the production cycle management of complex products, accomplished in the company in the period from 2010 to 2012.",

AB  - Poboljšanje poslovnih procesa ostvaruje se između ostalog poboljšanjem ciljeva kvaliteta koji su definisani na nivou svakog procesa. U praksi nije moguće da se istovremeno izvrši poboljšanje svih identifikovanih ciljeva kvaliteta. Neophodno je da vrednosti ciljeva kvaliteta budu određene primenom odgovarajuće metrike. Prema dobijenim vrednostima ciljeva kvaliteta, menadžment tim određuje redosled poboljšanja ciljeva kvaliteta. U ovom radu, relativan odnos važnosti svakog para identifikovanih ciljeva kvaliteta zadat je u matričnom obliku. Performanse ciljeva kvaliteta su opisane pomoću lingvističkih iskaza. Svi lingvistički iskazi su modelirani trougaonim fazi brojevima. Nov model za ocenu vrednosti ciljeva kvaliteta sa respektovanjem njihove relativne važnosti je predložen. Razvijeni model je testiran ilustrativnim primerom u kome egzistiraju podaci procesa razvoja jednog preduzeća koje funkcioniše u realnom okruženju.
AB  - Improvement of business processes is achieved, among the other, through improvement of quality goals which are defined on the level of each process. In practice, it is not possible to improve all identified quality goals simultaneously. It is assumed that it is necessary that the quality goals values be determined by applying determined metrics. With respect to given values of quality goals, management team determines the order by which quality goals are improved. In this paper, the relative importance of quality goals is stated by fuzzy pair-wise comparison matrix. The performances of quality goals are described by linguistic expressions. All linguistic expressions are modeled by triangular fuzzy numbers. The new model for evaluation of quality goal values with respect to their relative importance is proposed. The developed model is tested by illustrative example with real life data of development process.

AB  - Contemporary conditions of conducting business based on IT and the Internet have essentially changed the philosophy of business in all agents involved in passenger transport. Rail companies have placed the passenger and his wishes in the focus of their business operations, while supply of majority of passenger services, except for transport itself: those companies are grounding on e-commerce and information systems based on the Internet technologies. The existence and strategic positioning of Serbian Railways (SR) on the transport services market and the integration of SR into the system of Europe's railways is possible only if SR becomes oriented to contemporary IT and e-commerce in the domain of passenger rail services. The paper demonstrates how to design Web-oriented information system in domestic passenger traffic, which is based on the latest software solutions and which supports the concept of e-ticketing. The developed system can become a constituent part of the future integrated business information system that will contribute significantly to the accomplishment of SR strategic goals and objectives.

Novi pristup aplikacijama ovoj oblasti donosi nove načine ažuriranja softvera koje je automatsko, sa lakim pristupom aplikacijama bez obzira gde se prostorno nalazite.

This paper analyses new generation of management tools in industrial production with cloud technologies. The decades ahead will be marked by a new way of communication in business environments from telecommunication field to medicine as well as industrial production and energy efficiency. Standard business applications and software with its installation and maintenance require considerable financial resources and significant spending on hardware. To address that requirement there is the need for special teams of experts to install, test and maintain the system. The new approach to cloud applications brings to this field that what is needed, a software update is automatic with an easy access to applications efficiently from anywhere on the planet and spatially are independent where you are located.

AB  - This paper investigates the effects of the manner of calculating the product cost price on forming the impact criteria in production program optimization in metal working companies by means of genetic algorithms. An algorithm was defined for multi-objective production program optimization using genetic algorithms, with the application of nonlinear function of minimal costs and linear function for maximizing the machinery capacity level. The aim of the paper is to investigate the basic hypothesis that the manner of calculating the product cost price in metalworking companies within the framework of the goal to minimize the business operating costs has significant influence on the results obtained by applying genetic algorithms in production program optimization. The results of investigation indicate significant differences in an optimal production program gained by calculating the product cost price via traditional and activity-based costing approach to defining the nonlinear cost function, depending on the volume of production.
