Aplikacije u nastavi u doba COVID-19: Obrazovanje i tehnološke inovacije
Abstract
The process of digital transformation affects all segments of society,
including the education system. The practice has shown that, compared to the
manufacturing sectors, the education sector has been less open to the introduction of
the modern technologies. When implemented in education, modern technology has
the potential to improve students' skills, motivate them, and encourage them to
engage in the learning process actively. The introduction of the digital educational
methods in teaching, extracurricular and administrative activities leads to the better
quality of the educational process, the development of digital competencies of
teachers and students, the digital culture development, etc. The digital educational
methods applied in teaching are designed to help the teacher create and collect
assignments virtually, instead of in the form of printed media, which is less time -
consuming. They also enable the teacher to have an insight into the student's work,
to check if... the task has been completed, as well as to give direct feedback and
grades to the student in a much shorter period of time. Nowadays, there are many
applications available on the Android, Windows, and Apple markets, so identifying
the best ones is a great challenge. In recent years, the education system of Serbia has
paid a special attention to digitalization and the distance learning educational model
development. These activities were implemented through various pilot programs that
included only previously selected schools. However, to the present day, i.e. until the
state of emergency due to the spread of COVID 19 was declared, the Serbian
education system had never faced the challenge of "switching" the entire education
concept to the model of on-line distance learning. In order to identify the most
efficient applications for the on-line distance learning education model
implementation, the survey was conducted among the high school students in
Serbia. This paper aims to investigate the ways of communication between students
and teachers in the case of the applied emergency remote teaching model, as well as
to determine the advantages and disadvantages of this model.
