Energy production in nuclear power plants from the aspect of sustainable development
Apstrakt
Sustainable development as a concept of a balanced economic, environmental, social and cultural development in many countries is on the check, due to the increasing energy crisis. Great needs of demand for electricity, lead to the fact that today the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) plans to increase in 2020 production at nuclear power stations on 3100TWh/year. The aim of this paper is to draw attention to the accidents that have occurred in the past, with a special focus on Chernobyl and to emphasize the importance and necessity of respecting the principle of sustainable development.
