Inspection planning for prismatic parts on CMM based on ontology knowledge base

Although suppressed with the development of laser measurement technology, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is still an indispensable factor in the industry, particularly for inspection prismatic parts (PP). Uniform plan inspection for prismatic measurement parts is a special problem which depends on metrological complexity and knowledge of the inspection planner. This paper presents an ontology knowledge base (OKB) for conceptual inspection planning prismatic parts on CMM in order to solve this problem. The presents knowledge base is defined entities and the relationships between them. Relationships are defined by the rules decomposition of the measurement part into metrological features (MF) and your decomposition into geometrical features (GF). Implementation the rules were performed on the example of a measurement part.
