dc.description.abstractAutomated probe path is possible perform CAD-CAI integrating by algorithms. This paper presents an algorithm for simulation CMM measuring path based on the CAD model of the prismatic part. Input information for simulation are taken from internal files of CAD model of the prismatic part (IGES and STL), while input data about tolerances on the base already created of the knowledge base. Output is point-to-point measuring path without collision between measurement probe and prismatic part. Presented algorithm is a feature – based approach for simulation CMM measuring path based on the CAD model, whose advantage is in reduction the time needed for the preparation of the measurements due automated generation of measuring path.sr
