This paper deals with experimental investigations of the influence of electro-pneumatically operated ball valve (EPV) on fluid-structure interaction (FSI) effect. The experimental setup for investigation of water hammer and its side effects, unsteady friction, cavitation, column separation and FSI is installed at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Podgorica, Montenegro. Experimental runs have been performed with different initial values of pressure in the upstream end high-pressurized tank and with EPV fixed and released. Some
of the obtained results are presented and conclusions are given.
