Orthogonal turning experiments for predicting the cutting forces
Eksperimenti ortogonalnog struganja u funkciji predikcije sila rezanja
Апстракт
In this paper the cutting coefficients were identified using the orthogonal cutting mechanics which are used in predicting the cutting forces and torque. The force and torque acting on a cutting tool during the process are of fundamental importance in the design of cutting tools. All cutting operations share the same principles of mechanics of cutting, but their geometry and kinematics are different. The first step in the prediction of forces acting on a cutting tool is to consider a relatively simple orthogonal cutting process in which the cutting edge is perpendicular to the cutting speed and the deformation occurring in the plane, in order to continue to use the results of this analysis as a base for the development of a much more general case of oblique cutting, where the edge is angled to the cutting speed.
U radu je prikazana procedura za određivanje skupa parametara rezanja testovima ortogonalnog struganja, koji se koriste za predikciju sila i momenta rezanja za konkretnu kombinaciju materijala alata i obratka. Sile i momenti koji deluju na rezni alat u toku procesa obrade su od suštinskog značaja za proces projektovanja alata. Sve operacije rezanja dele iste principe mehanike rezanja, ali njihova geometrija i kinematika se razlikuju. Prvi korak je razmatranje relativno jednostavnog procesa ortogonalnog rezanja u kome je sečivo upravno na pravac relativnog kretanja, a deformacije se javljaju u ravni, da bi se rezultati analize dalje koristili kao osnova za razvoj mnogo opštijeg slučaja kosog rezanja u kome je sečivo pod uglom različitim od 90° u odnosu na pravac relativnog kretanja.
