dc.description.abstractA thermodynamic analysis of water – ammonia absorption refrigeration cycle is given in this paper. The refrigeration device includes a rectification column and additional heat exchangers, aimed at increasing thermodynamic efficiency of the refrigeration cycle. The system scheme and description, calculation procedure and table containing calculated values are given. The characteristics of the standard reversed cycle with compensation process based on mechanical work are given. It was concluded that, under certain conditions, the absorption refrigeration system can be comparable to the compression machine, if all the measures for improvement of the absorption refrigeration cycle were undertaken.sr
