Geometry Of Simulation Of The Contact Surface Between The Hobbing Cutter And The Wheel On An Fd320a Milling Machine

This paper is a result of plenty researches on dynamic of the process on FD320A milling machine. We try to propose also a method for determination of the displacement for the contact surface using an analysis with finite elements. Before this, an important problem is achievement a model with finite elements that must be the best approximation of the tool-machine structure on one hand, and on the other is how to make the geometric model for the contact surface. We collected also some experimental data. Theoretical studies are near to the experimental data, registered with an acquisition system sets on the shaft’s slides of the final elements for the milling machine. We made a dynamic analysis with variable forces; being well known that the vibrations appeared may cause large displacements and severe stresses in the concrete situations. The analysis proves that the displacements are in admissible limits and have not major influences on the quality of the processing surfaces.
