dc.description.abstract | Different geometry of metameterials has ability to withstand a certain level of deformation, and is used to replace joints in certain assemblies of technical systems. Using this characteristic of metametrials, all movements could be accomplished with deformation of technical system structures. This paper cover examination on two different kind of geometry structure of metamaterials, regular and irregular octagon, and the influence of their geometrical structures, as a new concepts for formation of technical systems. A larger number of simulations have been conducted by changing internal structure and orientation of metamaterials. Also, those metametarials have been used on some of the model of pliers. Further, the pliers models were simulated, and results were compared with the results from previous simulations. For each simulation the results were presented as stresses and displacements with the same load, but different direction of force. SOLIDWORKS 2016, as a powerful tool for this kind of analysis, had been used for simulation, design of the 3D models and whole study. The results obtained from simulations, using design study, define the level of deformation which structures can withstand, and therewithal, they gave the ideas for methodology of the concept for preparing geometry of metametrials. | sr |
