Structural changes are recorded in a superalloy that is based on the following composition: 54% Ni, 18.5% Cr, 18.5% Fe, 3% Mo, 1.0% Ti and 5.0% Nb. Despite the fact that the upper alloy was expected to be resistant in extreme working conditions for a certain period of time, certain structural changes had appeared in the welded aligner of the structural aircraft member. These changes in the structure had resulted as micro-pores and cracks. The goal was to determine the causes for material degradation, particularly in the welded joints.sr
