Structural analysis of supporting welded steel structure (GAZELA bridge)
Апстракт
Structural analysis of supporting welded steel structure has been performed using Gazela bridge in
Belgrade as an example. It is the most important bridge in Belgrade, erected 40 years ago, being exposed to heavy traffic conditions without proper maintenance and monitoring. The reconstruction of Gazela bridge is just about to start, without precise stress analysis and any measurements of real loading and without structural integrity assessment, even though several cracks appeared recently in the supporting welded steel structure. In this paper, first few steps toward structural integrity assessment of Gazela bridge have been presented, leading to some important conclusions regarding stress state and possible measures for its reduction.
