dc.description.abstractThis paper describes the concept of the machining robot open architecture low-cost control system for five-axis machining by articulated robots with 5 and 6 DOF. Generalized modeling approach of 6 DOF vertical articulated robot which can be configured to emulate vertical and horizontal 5-axis machine tools with spindle-tilting as well as the prototype of developed control system with programming in G-code are shown in detail. Several test work pieces were machined to demonstrate the effectiveness of developed low-cost control and programming system.sr
