The rigorous expression of the intensity distribution in the interference pattern of the light scattered by the moving particle passing through the cross-section of two laser beams is derived. The obtained expression is valid for an arbitrary point in the space and it is given in a closed form as a function of the distance from scattering particle R, scattering direction (determined by off-axis angle θ and azimuth angle Φ), and complex intensity functions of that direction Sp(θj). With the increasing speeds and capacities of the new generation computers, the urge to use approximate expressions decreases. In the derivations presented in this paper, no approximation has been applied. The application of final expressions require the knowledge of the amplitude functions expressed separately for perpendicular and parallel polarization, regardless the theory according to which they are expressed - (generalized)Lorenz-Mia, geometric optics, scattering theories for cylinders, ellipsoids,....Th...e numerical results for forward scattering by a spherical particle in the off-axis region, which is of extreme interest in particle sizing, are presented, in the form of bitmaps, and they are discussed.
