dc.description.abstract | This paper refers to the development and application of machining technology by cutting bio-compatible polymers, with the prior determination of the physical characteristics of the contact lens material using modern characterization of the surface texture using scanning microscopy and opto-magnetics in the field of nanotechnology, which, after complex analysis and implementation of advanced production technologies, achieves the expected functional behaviour in exploitation based on the adequate roughness of the processed surface, which is extremely important for ensuring the appropriate adhesion force when adhering this optical aid to the cornea. The authors had a significant share in these works, expressed through built-in knowledge and experience in the field of implementation of cutting processing technology, as well as analysis of digital images of the texture of the processed surface of the contact lens bio-polymer, obtained using a state-of-the-art laboratory microscope operating at the nanometer scale (JEOL SPM5200). The results achieved have an immediate practical application, verified in the domestic production organization "Optix"-Zemun, where these contact lenses are produced for Serbian and foreign markets. | sr |
