dc.description.abstractThe paper presents the procedure for determining the optimal regimes of movement of the elevator cabin as a function of input values such as: distance that elevator cabin has to pass, acceleration, velocity and jerk of the elevator cabin (jerk - first derivation of acceleration per time). Optimal movement regimes of the elevator cabin are determined using Pontryagin's maximum principle. Minimal traveling time is used as optimization criteria. As a result of optimization process four optimal regimes of elevator cabin movement are gained as a function of mutual relation of input values.en
