Water cavitation tunnel characterisation by LDV

Water cavitation tunnel T-33, which exists in the Experimental Aerodynamics Laboratory of the Military Technical Institute, in Belgrade, since 1952 is presented in this paper. It is a continuous close-loop water tunnel. Pump has 91 kW DC power supply. It is refurbished and has a new test section with dimensions 450 mm x 500 mm. Measurements have been performed by use of one-component laser Doppler velocimetry (LDV). In this paper are presented axial velocity profiles in the measuring section for three various axial pump rotation speeds. In some cases is checked also vertical velocity component.
