dc.description.abstract | The choice of suppliers in any industry is one of the most important strategic management problems.
This paper introduces a new fuzzy model for the evaluation and ranking of manufacturing companies which
should be networked with a supply chain. The evaluation of manufacturing companies is performed according to
supply chain performances. The relative importance of these performances is presented by the fuzzy pair-wise
comparison matrix with the interval triangular fuzzy numbers. The weight vectors are calculated by applying the
fuzzy AHP method. The Key Performance Indicators of each performance are described by the interval type-2
fuzzy triangular fuzzy numbers. The performance values are determined by applying the fuzzy averaging method.
The ranking of the considered companies was performed by applying the fuzzy TOPSIS method. The proposed
model is illustrated by real-life data from the automotive supply chain. | sr |
