Comparative Study of Pressurized Spherical Shell with Different Materials
Апстракт
The paper deals with an analytic approach to a problem of transversely isotropic spherical shell under combined effect of interior and exterior pressure. The paper is based on spherical symmetry of shell. Radial and circumferential stresses are calculated by making different combinations of internal and external pressures with the help of generalized strain components. Stresses obtained for initial yielding as well as full plastic state are depicted graphically. Results are compared for transversely isotropic materials (beryl and magnesium) with isotropic material (brass). It has been observed that radial stresses as well as hoop stresses are maximum for isotropic material (brass) as compared to transversely isotropic materials (beryl and magnesium).
