dc.description.abstractThe most common way to transfer tangential and axial loads in different types of assemblies is by interference fits. It is essential to determine interference fit parameters of pressed joints, which provides a proper function of machine part, i.e. load transfer without skidding. The analyses, test methodology and results of experimental examination of the conveyor idler's interference fits are presented in this paper. The procedure of analytical determination of the expected force for fit disassembling has been described in detail: shaft - rolling bearing and bearing - idler shell. Those calculated values have been compared with experimental ones. According to the presented criteria, the evaluation of the conveyor idler press joints has been carried out.en
