dc.description.abstractAlthough contact condensers are extensively used for various industrial applications, procedures for calculation and sizing these vessels are scarce in the open literature. However, before new and reliable calculation procedures can be derived, it is important to obtain properly verified experimental results. In this paper, a novel validation procedure is introduced for the case of condensation of the complete amount of vapor that enters the device. The proposed procedure is based entirely on the theoretical model that must always be fulfilled in the aforementioned case. This fact makes it very useful in verification of experimental results for contact condensers with no vapor outflow.en
