This paper deals with the observation and control of an induction motor. A cascade observer for a class of nonlinear systems which is state affine is proposed in order to estimate the flux and the torque for the induction motor. A control law regulating the motor speed and rotor flux amplitud is applied. A stability analysis of the resulting closed-loop systems is given. Finally, simulation results are shown.en
