dc.description.abstractThe control of the contemporary mechatronic product is very demanding task due the nonlinearity of multibody system, plethora of working profile and rapid response in shortest possible time. Application of adaptronic devices in the white good products (e.g. washing machine and MR Dampers LORD RD-1005-3) a long time quite known and already economically acceptable solution for high-end products [1],[2]. Besides achieving adaptive damping in order to achieve smother transition phenomenon it is also quite suitable solution to prevent impact or shock loads as part of the uncontrolled environmental influence (e.g. earthquake, landing gear, clothes tumble)[2],[3]. There is still open issue regarding the multibody nonlinear system dynamics with adaptronic devices [4],[5]: • where and how to implement the adequate control technique-e.g. adaptive control, classical PID, FOC (Fractional order Control); • how to determine optimum control parameters for certain application-e.g. HIL simulation, experimental setup; Presented will be practical, experimental example on the common mechatronic product-washing machine with the adaptive MR damper with various working profiles as well as loads. Evaluated will be effect of the damper's degradation performance as endurance test [1]. This is very similar issue as the overheating (or temperature) effect on the MR fluid-temperature dependent dynamic affects, e.g. fluid compressibility [6].en
