Error probabilities in a channel based on MGF method using Rician fading for MPSK
Apstrakt
U ovom radu se analizira verovatnoća greške po simbolu (Symbol Error Probability, SEP) fazno modulisanog (M-ary Phase Shift Keying, MPSK) signala u ambijentu frekventno-neselektivnog sporog Rician fedinga i prijemnika zasnovanog na tehnici kombinovanja maksimalnog odnosa (Maximal Ratio Combining, MRC). U radu se pretpostavlja da je informacija na strani prijemnika poznata. Analiza verovatnoće greške po simbolu izvršena je za različite vrednosti Rician faktora K, diversiti reda N i nivoa modulacije M. SEP verovatnoće su dobijene na osnovu numeričkog izračunavanja baziranog na funkciji generisanja momenta (Moment Generating Function, MGF).
In this paper, we analyze the symbol error probability over frequency non-selective slow Rician fading channels for coherent M-ary Phase Shift Keying using the technique of maximal ratio combination. We assume that the channel information is known at the receiver. The probabilities of error per symbol for coherent M-ary Phase Shift Keying are presented for different values of Rician factor K, diversity order N and modulation order M. These probabilities are obtained from the numerical calculations, based on the moment generating function, in order to avoid complex numerical calculations.
