dc.description.abstract | A computer code TEA-01 has been developed for the simulation and analysis of fast thermo-hydraulic transients in Thermal Power Systems. A model is based on non-stationary mass, momentum and energy balance equations for one-dimensional one-phase or equilibrium homogeneous two-phase fluid flow. Various types of discontinuities have been included. A model's solution has been based on the Method of Characteristics with three characteristic paths. This paper gives a brief description of the theoretical basis of the computer code TEA-01. The code has been verified against a variety of physical experimental data.
