AB  - This research aims to determine how the orientation and placement of printing impacts the compressive strength of specimens manufactured by Selective Laser Sintering (SLS).
The research includes compressive specimens in which the CAD model dimensions are selected according to the ISO 604 standard, and specimen geometry Ø10x20 mm in bulk. All specimen configurations are additively manufactured in two different printing orientations, horizontal and vertical, and printed in the middle and on the edge of the powder bed. All specimens are additively manufactured using Polyamide 12 (PA 12) material on a Fuse 1 device (FormLabs, located in Summerville, MA). Compressive strength testing was carried out using a Shimadzu AGS-X universal testing machine (Shimadzu Corp., Kyoto, Japan).

AB  - The subject of this paper is the static strength analysis of a support production tool used for the mounting and internal transport of the cab of the MIREO high-speed train. The assembly of the production tool was designed by "AMM MANUFACTURING" from Kragujevac, Serbia. Numerical analyses were conducted using the finite element method (FEM). The elements of the assembly were specifically designed to withstand the operational load during the assembly of the "Mireo Cab" and internal transport, without experiencing any permanent deformation. The structure of the assembly was constructed using various materials, including structural steel grades S235JRG2 and S355J0, quenched and tempered steel grades C45 and 42CrMo4, PE500, and bolts of grades 8.8 and 10.9. The creation of the finite element model (FEM) and the analysis of static strength were performed using a specific software package. The results of the numerical analysis indicate that the assembly of the production tool can safely endure the working load, equivalent to the mass of the "Mireo Cab," without undergoing any permanent deformation. Based on the static strength results, the customer has received manual instructions for the proper usage of the assembly, particularly during lifting and internal transport.

AB  - The usage of parts with free form surfaces is growing day by day, not only in the field of mechanical engineering, but also in the production of parts for everyday household needs. This implies the need for developing of new methods for the production of such parts. When it comes to machining, the most common cases of production are milling with ball end mill on numerically controlled machine tools. In this paper are presented different methods for mathematical description of free-form surfaces such as Bézier curves, B-spline curves and non-uniform rational B-spline.

Analysis of methods for tool path generation using commercial cam systems

AB  - Parts with free-form surfaces can be found in a wide range of products and components in almost all industrial segments,  including  goods,  toys,  electronic  devices,  dies  and  molds,  automotive,  even  in  medical  and aerospace  industries. Today, there are many commercial  CAM systems capable  for generating  G codes for free-form surfaces machining. In this paper, tool path generation is presented using different commercial CAM systems.  It is presented differences  in machining  time in accordance  with used machining  strategies.  Used machining  strategies  gives  different  scallop  height  of  machined  surface  and  according  to  given  surface roughness  it is used different  machining  parameters  in every used  strategy.  It is also given differences  in machining time in dependence  of chosen CAM software.  As the conclusion  it is given that the different CAM software  have implemented  different  machining  strategies  and  according  to this it will generate  NC codes which will have different tool path. Difference in tool path has impact on surface roughness and total machining time and according to that impact on final product price.
