AB  - Dug vek ove zbirke i veliki broj ponovljenih izdanja ukazuje na činjenicu da je ona imala značajnu ulogu u nastavi Mehanike na Mašinskom fakultetu u Beogradu. Potreba za novim izdanjem uzrokovana je i trenutnim potpunim odsustvom, u aktivnoj prodaji, zbirki iz dinamike namenjenih studentima mašinskih fakulteta u Srbiji. Bez obzira što je pisana za potrebe studija po starim programima, ona je i sada neophodna za potrebe nastave Mehanike po važećim programima predmeta na Mašinskom fakultetu u Beogradu. Prvo, drugo i sedmo poglavlje čine deo programa predmeta Mehanika 2, na osnovnim akademskim studijama. Deveto, dvanaesto i petnaesto poglavlje nalaze se u okviru programa predmeta Mehanika M na master akademskim studijama, kao i pojedini delovi četvrtog poglavlja. Preostala poglavlja obuhvataju u celini program predmeta Mehanika 3 na osnovnim akademskim studijama.

Constraint reactions in optimal control of mechanical systems

AB  - This paper is dedicated to the establishment of a general procedure of forming the optimal control problem of variable-mass nonholonomic rheonomic mechanical systems, where reactions of constraints are present in differential equations of motion. Dimensions and structure of a configuration space depend on the number of reactions of constraints that are the subject of our interest, i.e. only the reactions whose magnitudes are subjected to limitations are considered. In this paper, the procedure enables the direct application of Pontryagin’s maximum principle for the systems with limited phase state. Attention is particularly focused on discussing various modes of realizing the control by combining the active control forces and subsequent imposition of ideal holonomic mechanical constraints. Brachistochronic motions play an important role in this type of problems, because in them the control of motion can be realized exclusively with ideal constraints. The paper provides three examples of this method application, which are related to the realization of the brachistochronic motion of mechanical systems.

AB  - U radu je prikazan jedan od mogućih načina optimizacije kretanja visećeg tereta. Razvijena procedura optimizacije je primenjena na dizalične uređaje sa grabilicom, kao što su pretovarni most i lučka dizalica. Procedura optimizacije je podeljena u dve faze. Prva faza predstavlja optimizaciju kretanja grabilice i tereta tj. visećeg tereta. Druga faza optimizacije sastoji se iz određivanja kretanja mehanizama dizaličnih uređaja, na osnovu dobijenih optimalnih putanja i parametara kretanja grabilice i tereta. Oblik prikazanog matematičkog modela omogućuje direktnu primenu modela teorije optimalnog upravljanja tj. optimizacija kretanja visećeg tereta je izvedena primenom Pontrjaginovog principa maksimuma. Osnovni cilj optimizacije je postizanje minimalnog radnog (istovarnog) ciklusa, smanjenje potrošnje energije kao i rasipanja materijala tokom pražnjenja grabilice. Svi relevantni izrazi su izvedeni u analitičkom obliku.
AB  - This paper presents one of the possible ways to optimize the movement of the suspended payload. Application of presented optimization procedure is shown on grab crane devices such as unloading bridge and harbour crane. The optimization procedure is divided into two phases. The first phase is optimization of the cargo and grab (suspended payload) movement. The second phase is determination of movement, of the grab crane device mechanisms, upon obtained optimal path and parameters of cargo and grab (payload) movement. Shape of presented mathematical model makes possible direct application of optimal control theory methods i.e. optimization of the payload movement is determined using Pontryagin’s maximum principle. The basic aim of optimization is to attain the minimal working (unloading) cycle, spending of energy and material dissipation during the grab discharging. All relevant expressions are derived analytically..

AB  - This paper presents one of the possible ways of optimization of unloading bridge working cycle i.e. minimization of: energy consumption, material dissipation during the grab discharging, rope incline angle etc. Optimization procedure of the working cycle is divided into two phases, first optimization of the cargo and grab movement and second determination of the unloading bridge mechanisms movement upon obtained optimum path and parameters of cargo and grab movement. The developed mathematical model enables direct application of optimum control theory methods i.e. optimization of the cargo and grab movement is determined using Pontryagin's maximum principle. All relevant expressions are derived analytically. Repeatable and optimum unloading cycle is necessary for calculation of the real capacity of unloading device which is the base for calculation of energy consumption, exploitation cost, etc.

Optimal control of mechanical system motion with limited reactions of constraints

AB  - The problem of determining the mechanical system limited control forces, with simultaneously imposed limitations to reactions of constraints is solved. Both external and internal constraints that can be holonomic or nonholonomic are analyzed. In this regard. differential equations of motion are formed with explicitly present Lagrange’s multipliers. Phase space dimensions and structure depend of the constraints that are of interest for the present problem. Dependence of multipliers of the constraints on corresponding reactions of constraints intensity is established. Control forces limitations and reactions of constraints intensity are given in the form of inequations. The problem of optimal control is solved by Pontryagin’s Maximum Principle. The proposed method has been applied to two examples of motion in a minimal time between two specified positions. The first example provides solution for the case of the motion of a material point along holonomic constraint of  limited reaction. The second example refers to solution for the case of a rigid body with nonholonomic constraint — by the Chaplygin blade type, whose reaction of constraint is limited in intensity.

AB  - The paper presents one of the possible ways optimization of motion of the harbour crane grab minimization of the working (unloading) cycle, energy consumption and material dissipation during the grab discharging. The optimization procedure of the working cycle is divided into two phases. Firstly, it is optimization of the cargo and grab motion and, secondly, determination of motion of the crane mechanisms upon the obtained optimal parameters of cargo and grab trajectory. The developed mathematical model enables direct application of the optimal control theory methods, i.e. a method of optimization of cargo and grab motion by making use of Pontryagins maximum principle. All relevant expressions are derived analytically.

AB  - Ова књига садржи градиво обухваћено програмом предмета Теорија осцилација на Машинском факултету у Београду и првенствено има уџбенички карактер. Ниво и метод излагања прилагођен је искључиво нивоу знања која студенти претходно могу да стекну из одговарајућих дисциплина на Машинском факултету. Математичко моделирање осцилација
механичких система засновано је на основним једначинама аналитичке механике уз коришћење основа матричног рачуна. Овакав приступ омогућио је да теоријско решавање проблема до коначних једначина има алгоритамски карактер, усклађен са софтверским могућностима савремених рачунара. Услед тога, сложеност проблема, која се некада јављала код система са већим бројем степена слободе, постаје потпуно небитна, што
је омогућило да се ово излагање растерети од додатног разматрања разних аналитичких и нумеричких метода. С обзиром на уџбеничку намену ове књиге, теоријско излагање је пропраћено бројним примерима и задацима који треба да студентима помогну у лакшем савлађивању градива и упути их на примену у пракси.

AB  - Simple pendulum motion (also considering its application at crown block modelling) is considered at suspension point transition from the quiescent to motion state at constant velocity at present time with camped vibrations at the end of the process. To solve the problem Pontryaguin maximal principle and discreet method of vibrations camping are used. As a control value in both cases simple pendulum suspension point acceleration is used. A case of simple pendulum of variable length is considered.

AB  - U radu se razmatra premeštanje matematičkog klatna (sa osvrtom na primenu pri modeliranju dizaličnih postrojenja) iz stanja kretanja tačke vešanja konstantnom brzinom u stanje mirovanja za unapred zadato vreme sa prigušivanjem oscilacija na kraju procesa. Rešenja se traže primenom Pontriagin-ovog principa maksimuma i adaptivnog odnosno digitalnog metoda prigušivanja oscilacija. Kao upravljačka veličina u oba slučaja koristi se ubrzanje tačke vešanja matematičkog klatna. Razmatran je slučaj sa konstantnom dužinom matematičkog klatna.
AB  - The paper discusses the motion of the mathematical pendulum (with reference In the transportation machines modeling), from the stale o/ constant velocity motion of the suspension point to the stale of rest for the pre-assigned time with damping of oscillations at the end of the process. Solutions of the task were found by application of the Pontryagin's principle of maximum, and adaptive and digital methods of oscillations damping. Acceleration of the suspension point of the mathematical pendulum is used as the control value in all cases. The case of the constant length of the mathematical pendulum is discussed.
