An analysis of the absorption refrigeration system with a solution of LiBr -water as the working fluid driven by solar energy is presented in this paper. There are given the physi cal and mathematical models of the refrigeration system including two different types of solar collectors - vacuum and flat plate. Calculations of the dynamic characteristics of the system for July of the typical meteorological year for Belgrade are carried out and some of the most important technical and energy parameters are analyzed. It is shown that the application of the vacuum collectors provides many advantages over flat plate collectors.
