The paper presents the tested mechanical properties and determined optimal characteristics of the multi-component aluminium alloy that are achieved by applying artificial aging for 30 min. at 190°C, after previously quenching and deforming to 20%. In addition to the optimal mechanical tests, the upper mentioned mechanical heat treatment develops optimal resistance to corrosion cracking which is of extreme importance in the exploitation of the particular structural member produced of this aluminium alloy. The qualitative and quantitative bases for the strain and stress analysis are obtained by applying the modern optical technique.
