dc.description.abstract	A sleeper chair is a specific type of chair, which should fulfill two basic functions - sitting and lying. For some types of chairs, such as office chairs, for example, there are a number of recommendations for the designing and evaluation of their suitability from the aspect of ergonomics. However, the sleeper chairs have not previously been the subject of ergonomic and scientific considerations. Having in mind this drawback, on the basis of the conducted analysis, in this chapter recommendations have been given for their design and evaluation. In addition, it has developed a checklist that provides an ergonomic assessment of design solutions of the sleeper chairs.	en
