AB - Performing works with the land where a lot of mechanical work is engaged, such as making pits for planting fruit, needs to be mechanized. This replaces human labour with a tractor machine aggregate with an increase in productivity and thus makes the process cheaper. For the proper selection of individual means of mechanization, it is important to determine the optimal
agrotechnical parameters of their application. Proper selection and use of mechanization tools for planting have a decisive influence on the intensity and progress in cultivation technology. Defining
energy and exploitation parameters of tractor-machine aggregates during mechanized construction of pits is the subject of this research. The pits are intended for individual planting of
fruit seedlings as well as the installation of trellis poles. The test results of the tractor-machine aggregate show that the lowest driving force engaged for drilling was achieved in the field and
was 6.36 kW for the excavated pit with the depth of 885 mm and with a diameter of 520 mm, the number of revolutions of the drill was 93 rpm and drilling was achieved in 27 s. The highest
driving force for drilling was engaged in field III, which was 30.8 kW for the excavated pit 780 mm deep with a diameter of 490 mm, the number of revolutions of the drill bit was 111 rpm and
drilling was realized in 30 s. The results obtained in these tests show that the consumption of motor power largely depends on the type of soil, the quality of previous soil preparations and the number of revolutions of the tractor PTO shaft. The time required to move the aggregate from one to the next drilling site is crucially influenced by the terrain configuration, the state of soil preparation and the skill of the tractor driver and auxiliary worker.

AB - Hay is a bulky part of the meal that is most often used in the winter period of the
year in all types of ruminants, while the role of hay in the meal of high-milk cows is invaluable.
The most common way to produce hay is to dry the cut grass on the surface of the land in the field,
using the energy of the sun. In the process of hay production, there is a reduction of nutrients in
relation to the green mass, where the achieved yield and quality of hay largely depends on the
technological operations that are performed during storage. In the baling process, the dried mass
is exposed to the mechanical treatment of the working elements of the press, as a result of which
the leaf mass decreases. Loss of leaf mass, which contains a large amount of nutrients, can greatly
affect the achieved yield and quality of the obtained hay. One of the possibilities to reduce losses is
the application of "DewPoint" technology, which involves the use of water vapor in the baling
process. The steam produced by the device is injected into the mass-hay after lifting by the pickup
device and further until the mass enters the pressing chamber. Mass treatment is achieved by
injecting steam through a series of nozzles located inside the press. Water vapor is an extremely
efficient medium for the controlled hydration of hay during the baling process, where
approximately 450 l of water vapor can be produced from 1 l of water. By applying this
technology, water consumption is 5-7 l per 1 t of hay, producing 2250-3150 l of water vapor. This
amount of steam enables efficient treatment of individual plants (tree, leaf) in a mass of 1t to the
desired humidity level.

AB - This paper presents an analytical algorithm with appropriate software specified for the approximation of the allowed critical slope of the solid flat terrain that guarantees static and/or dynamic stability of the specified self-propelled agricultural machines and their aggregates. This algorithm assumes machine as a rigid body, having 3 or 4 contact points (defined by wheels or crawlers), under uniform motion at different constant velocities and radii of curvature trajectories. Using this algorithm, based on the principles of theoretical mechanics combined with 3D analytical geometry, the computer program SSPM (stability of the self-propelled agricultural machines) has been coded. This software is intended to facilitate the analysis, comparison and optimization of different configurations of self-propelled agricultural machines in operation on horizontal and sloped flat terrains at constant velocities and radii of trajectory with respect to their static and dynamic stability. It calculates critical pitch and roll angles of the selfpropelled machine and the maximum allowed slope of the flat terrain under the given conditions. The algorithm and the appropriate SSPM software were experimentally verified using the platform and low-scale tractor model. Average difference between calculated and experimental critical values of roll and pitch angles were about 4 degrees

AB - he usage of UAV - Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle in the precision
agriculture creates numerous opportunities for detecting and informing farm ers about the current state of cultivated crops, and the quality of the imple mentation of certain agro-technical operations during production. In recent
years, UAV have been used in chemical plant protection, in the application of
mineral fertilizers, in the detection of pests, diseases, and other aspects of ag ricultural production. The importance of the usage of UAV in agricultural
production is becoming bigger and more significant, which could, in the long
term, affect the more efficient and productive agricultural production, with a
significant reduction in the consumption of the inputs of production.
This study describes two types of UAV used in the chemical plant protec tion, which were analyzed according to the technical characteristics of the
UAV, as well as the precision of the spray coverage of the protective liquid.
The precision of distribution of the protective liquid is monitored at differ ent ground speeds and heights during chemical protection. The MG-1 model
UAV achieves the best quality of the application of protective liquid at a
flight groundspeed of 3 ms-1 (largest effective swath of 6.8 m) and a flying
height of 2 m (largest effective swath of 7.3 m). The V6A model UAV achieves
the best application quality of the protective liquids at a flight groundspeed
of 7 ms-1 (largest effective swath of 5.8 m), and at a flying height of 2 m
(largest effective swath of 5.6 m). The results of the UAV analyzed showed
that the uniformity of the application of the protective liquid directly de pends on the model of the UAV and its technical characteristics.

AB - Modern grapevine production technology involves the implementation of various
technological operations, among which grapevine defoliation has an important place.
Defoliation is an ampelotechnical measure of removing a certain number of leaves from the
cluster zone. Removing the leaves changes the microclimate conditions of the grapevine
(light intensity, temperature, humidity, ventilation), which affects the yield, structure of the
clusters and the quality of the grapes. Leaves removal can be done manually, with chemical
agents (defoliants) and with the use of machines. With development of different technical
solutions and different designs of defoliation machines, the productivity of work today is
significantly increased compared to the manual removal of leaves, which is still dominant in
Serbia region. The technological parameters of grapevine plantations necessary for efficient
and rational application of defoliation machines will be presented in this paper. Modern
technical solutions and basic operating parameters of machines commonly used in practice
will also be presented in this paper.

AB - Bee pollen is very important in the nutrition of bees since it provides them with
proteins, lipids, vitamins and minerals. Bee pollen also has a significant nutritive value as a
supplement to human nutrition. Fresh bee pollen contains a large quantity of moisture
which favors development of various microorganisms. In order to preserve pollen from
spoilage its dehydration in controlled conditions is commonly performed. In this paper,
freeze-drying was proposed as a conservation method. Results showed increment in the
drying rate and improve the product quality compared to traditional hot air drying. The
current work provides theoretical and technical reference for applying this type of
technology.

AB - The technical accuracy of the machine is a prerequisite for the effective
implementation of chemical protection in fruit and grapevine production. The paper
presents the results obtained during the control testing of 50 different models of
orchard sprayers, with different period of exploitation in growers throughout Serbia
that are used in intensive fruit and grapevine production. During the control testing, a
large number of parameters were monitored, using standardized methods and test
procedures. Comparison of the obtained data was applied to four groups of orchard
sprayers (defined by the period of the exploitation). The technical accuracy of the
individual orchard sprayer is expressed by the coefficient of the technical correctness
(Cta) according to individual marks of the tested parameters of orchard sprayers.
Out of the total number of investigated orchard sprayers, 12% of the orchard sprayers
are in exploitation for less than three years, while the largest number of orchard
sprayers, and 42% is in exploitation for seven years or more. The technical accuracy of
Group 1 orchard sprayers was sufficiently high, except for the parameters related to
the Measuring regulatory system (Cta = 0.80) and the Nozzles (Cta = 0.86). In Group 2,
a decrease in the coefficient of technical accuracy in all parameters was observed with
respect to the sprayers from Group 1, which was particularly pronounced for Agitators
(Cta = 0.50) and Nozzles (Cta = 0.68). The orchard sprayers from Group 3 are
characterized by a low coefficient of technical accuracy for the Nozzles (Cta = 0.37),
while Group 4 orchard sprayers have a very low coefficient of technical accuracy in all
tested parameters. The level of technical accuracy of the orchard sprayers used in
intensive fruit and grapevine production is directly dependent on the period of their
exploitation.

AB - Laboratory scale tunnel dryer for convective-conductive drying of food was designed with the ability to regulate the drying parameters by controlling the thermo-mechanical properties of the humid air and the temperature of the materials by convective-conductive methods, as well as precisely adjusting the fraction of recirculated air in the drying process. The dryer is fully automated, with the ability to operate according to temperature or humidity parameters. Automation and control of the process and drying parameters was achieved by frequency regulation of the forced air flow system, proportional-integral-differential (PID) temperature drying regulation and ON / OFF regulation of air humidity (agent), as well as PID regulation of the heating of materials by a conductive mechanism. All regulated sizes are measurable with the ability to connect to an external computer for data collection.

AB - Apple pomace is one of the byproducts of the juice industry and represents a huge
waste of biomass. According to many authors, the apple pomace comprises round 25% of
overall mass of the fresh apples used in juice industry. Not only it represents a huge waste of
useful material, but there is also an emerging problem of its disposal. In order to perceive
all the benefits and possibilities of the apple pomace utilization, a review was needed to be
written. This article describes the properties of the apple pomace and its potential uses.
Furthermore, the drying process of apple pomace was reviewed as one of the best ways for
preserving food and organic materials. The different drying methods and parameters of the
apple pomace were reviewed.

AB - The paper presents results of an experimental investigation of convective drying of apples var. Idared, potatoes var. Desiree and bananas var. Grand Nein, in full recirculation laboratory-scale dryer. The experiments were conducted with cube-shaped apple samples (side length 10 and 13mm), potato chips (slice thickness 2 and 3mm) and banana cylinders (slice thickness 6 and 7mm), without pre-treatment. The drying experiment was conducted at fully controlled air temperature (35-45-55 degrees C), relative humidity (10-20-30%) and air velocity (1-1.5-2m/s). Results are discussed through their comparison with other heat pump drying system scenarios in order to find the most efficient one. The efficiency of the heat pump drying (HPD) system was analyzed using the several indicators: specific moisture extraction rate (SMER), specific energy consumption (SEC), heat pump dryer efficiency (HPDE) and moisture extraction rate (MER). The average values of the full air recirculation HPD system efficiency indicators were obtained in range: SMERHP=0.030-1.317kg/kWh, SMERHPD=0.047-0.651kg/kWh, SEC=0.211-9.358 MJ/kg, HPDE=0.426-20.7 MJ/kg and MER=1.362-17.194 kWh/kg. The results were evaluated in order to provide better information about the benefits of full air recirculation usage in HPD systems in regards to the other similar dryer configurations. Practical ApplicationsThis study uses full air recirculation to provide better control of the main drying parameters and to minimize impact of the surroundings. The novelty of this study lies in the fact that RH of the drying air was precisely controlled during all experiments. The evaluation of the relevance of full air recirculation HPD system is rare in literature and therefore the present study is directed toward quantification of influence of HPD system configuration on drying process efficiency. Dependence of several energy efficiency indicators of HPD system performance: SMER, SEC, HPDE and MER on HPD system air recirculation rate were investigated. The results were evaluated in order to provide better information about the benefits of full air recirculation usage in HPD systems in regards to the other similar dryer configurations.

AB - Fruit has a significant place in the total value of agricultural production in Serbia and an increasing amount of fresh fruits has been exported recently. For a more significant placement of fresh food on foreign markets, it is necessary to provide quality protection during transport and storage. Postharvest losses of fresh fruits and vegetables are very high, especially in undeveloped countries. Therefore, modern postharvest technologies, such as modified and controlled atmosphere, are increasingly used to prolong storage life of fresh fruits. ULO (Ultra Low Oxygen) controlled atmosphere has suppressed all other solutions in terms of quality and prolonged storage life (up to 300 days) of apples. In this paper, the optimum conditions and recommended storage regimes for different apple varieties in ULO atmosphere have been reported.

AB - Ultrasonics is new science that is being intensively developed in recent
years. Sound velocity is a valuable engineering tool and non-destructive, non-invasive,
non-intrusive technique of measurement. The various effects of ultrasound were
discussed and outlined in a context of different uses to accelerate or support
agricultural production processes like: vibrational and heating effects, cavitational
effects, speeding up biochemical processes, mutagenic effects, etc. Special attention
was paid on crystallization and separation processes in operational engineering. This

AB - IRT methodology was used in this research in order to provide critical review on thermal behavior of
two non-residential buildings constructions at the same geo-location and orientation. Faculty of Agriculture
(University of Belgrade, Serbia) headquarters old and new facilities were used as research objectives. IRT
methodology showed the differences in thermal behavior of old and new building envelopes. This results shows
that new building has slightly worse insulation properties and higher heat losses. The calculation results showed
that the specific heat flow rate through the old building envelope was 6.76 W/m2, and the specific heat flow rate
through the new building envelope was 15.18 W/m2.

AB - The sale of processed products to suppliers brings higher value than the sale of
fresh products, which is the main motive for investing in plums drying. The Municipality of
Osečina is perhaps the best example. It has plum orchards, the tradition of plum drying, and
and in the last few years a great number of new plum drying facilities were built. The reason
of such development in the municipality of Osečina is primarily prunes demand in
international markets. The subject of this paper is to examine the potential and limitations
for drying and selling dried plums. The data for this research were collected from personal
interviews with key stakeholders in Osečina engaged in the plum production or drying. A
person employed in the advisory department and the person in charge of the organization of
the Plum Fair that is held each year in Osečina in August have also been interviewed.
Finally, the National Statistical Office data were also used. This paper shows, in particular,
that 94% of plum drying facilities in Osečina have the daily capacity for drying of up to
1000 kg of plums. The production of fresh plums in the municipality ensures the operation of
a drying facility for half a month during the year.

AB - This study deals with the manufacturing process of compost production, followed by the release of large amounts of heat. The wheat straw and manure of broilers were the basic components of the raw mixture, monitored during the 80 h period. The simplified assessment method was developed along with suitable mathematical model. The potential for recovery of the heat released to the surroundings was evaluated indirectly based on compost temperature measurements during the one full production cycle. Temperature- time mathematical model was developed and used as time indicator for the analysis of distribution of energy that was generated in exothermic processes. The emissions of N ( lt 1% dry basis) and C through CO2 (similar to 3% dry basis) was neglected in mass balances. During composting treatment material temperatures were in range 80 +/- 2 degrees C, making it a reliable heat source of constant temperature. The amount of total generated heat during the 80 h time period was calculated to be 1325 kJ center dot 10(6), of which 76.4% was released to surroundings. The specific value of generated heat was 1.32 kJ g(-1) of raw mixture, of which 1.01 kJ g(-1) was available for recovery. The results pointed to the existence of significant amounts of released energy available for recovering.

AB - Drying kinetics and shrinkage of valerian plant root (Valeriana officinalis) was investigated during the convective hot air dryer with forced convection mode. Whole root without cutting, root cut into quarters, and root cut into 2 mm thin slices were used in drying experiments. Initial moisture content of roots was 51.2 +/- 0.3% and roots were considered to be dry when they lost 68% of the fresh weight and reached the moisture content of 10%. Drying air temperature was set to be 40 and 50 degrees C, air velocity at 1 m/s. The relative humidity of drying air was not controlled and it depended on surroundings. The experimental results were fitted to the five thin layer drying models and according to the non-linear regression analysis Page model was most suitable to describe the drying kinetics. The characteristic drying curves were created for each experimental set and they showed that the samples' preparation strongly influenced the drying process and drying time. Experiments to determine shrinkage of different cell structures of valerian root were carried out for raw material, as well as for dried samples, by using optical and electron microscopy observations and measurements. It was observed that shrinkage processes are significantly dependent of the type of cell tissue and drying air temperature.

AB - The paper analyzes the possibility and necessity of applying special types of robots
(mini unmanned aircraft with different constructions with the UAV tag) in agriculture
(agrodrone). Year 2015 was declared (Fortune Magazine, 2016) as the year of increase
and widespread application of drone aircraft in all areas of human activity, particularly
in agriculture and forestry (75% usage). This is important for large areas of farms, whe re the mini aircraft have numerous useful functions and a very cost-effective application.
Agro drone flight (flight time of 45 min, and the flight altitude of 1 m to 120 m)
can be used to analyze more functional parameters on about 120 ha of crops, and all
data can be sent to multiple locations (Audit Information Centre, mobile phones users
and the like). Today some types of agro drones have a relative price of 2000 USD, if
the users (farmers) assemble the drone themselves after purchasing it in parts. However
the price of these mini aircraft can be up to 250,000 US$ for specific models used by
the military, when equipped with special infrared cameras, sensors and HD video tech nology, which is controlled by an operator (pilot) from the surface. Usage of agro
drones may be expensive at first, but research shows that many data collected (for
example, identifying the species of insects and plant diseases, irrigation, yield asse ssment or monitoring the movement of animals on farms), help farmers to regain inve sted funds, sometimes for only one year. Farmers can use these aircraft in order to
establish a rational and precise use of pesticides, herbicides, mineral fertilizers, all
based on data obtained from the agro drone, used for precision agriculture systems. In
this sense, the farmers have significant financial benefits, since one drone flight has an
operational cost of a water bottle, and the data collected has great value. There are
anecdotes about farmers in the US who first buy an agro drone and afterwards a hunting
dog. The paper presents some structures of agro drones as well as ideas for their possi ble future application in agriculture of the R. of Serbia.

AB - Natural liquid manure as a suspension of overall cow and related categories excreta,
with out of admixtures of bedding matherials and residues of anused feed, is diversified
energetic source, because it can produce gas, heat, electric power, fuel, etc. Teh introduc tion of natural liquid manure in treatment towards energy production, contribute not only
to energy efficency of farm, but also to better envirnoment protection because of increased
emission of sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide and nitrogen dioxide, compared to combusti on of fossil fuels. In addition, a significant ammount of pathogens are destroyed and
weeds seeds that can be found in manure germination energy is significantly lower.
This paper presents optimal technology and technical solutions of liquid manure
usage for improving energy efficiency of small farms, and also the folloving total usa ge of liquid manure as organic fertilizer. In this paper, a mini farm of 50 dairy cows,
which are now common i Serbia has been considered. Methods of collecting, proce ssing, preparation, and use of liquid manure, in our conditions are not met at a wider
application, due to the extensive production.
Huge ammounts of this organic fertilizer with graet nutritive potential in forms that
are easily accessible to plants are not used in any way, and are uncontrollably released
to envirnoment cousing pollution to envirnoment in any possible way. That practise
must be stopped.
Economic effects in countries with less developed livestock production, such as
ours, suggest that this issue must be given adequate attention and redirected the way of

abstract = "Natural liquid manure as a suspension of overall cow and related categories excreta,
with out of admixtures of bedding matherials and residues of anused feed, is diversified
energetic source, because it can produce gas, heat, electric power, fuel, etc.
Economic effects in countries with less developed livestock production, such as
ours, suggest that this issue must be given adequate attention and redirected the way of
production, which, with secondary products can significantly improve the outcome.

AB - The transfer of moisture from the material by heated agent to the surroundings
during the contact of wet material and agent represents the process of convection drying.
Drying of fruits as types of plant and thermally sensitive materials represents a very
complex thermal-technical process that engages a high quantity of thermal energy in
the first place. Technical parameters of the system and thermal-physical properties of
the material define the energy balance of the drying process in terms of quantity. In
addition to thermal energy, the drying process engages other forms of energy, most
frequently electrical energy. The type of engaged energy during the drying process is
conditioned by the structural design of the device and the process management method.
This paper presents the results of experimental testing of energy consumption during
plum drying by applying technical systems that based on their design use ecologically
“clean” forms and renewable energy sources. The obtained results show the consump tion of certain forms of energy per unit of quantity of the dried product, which repre sents specific consumption.

AB - This paper is the result of studying effects of mechanical
chamomile harvesting on yield and quality of harvested chamomile. Chamomile
(Chamomilla recutita (L) Rausch.) was harvested at three time intervals (T1 – 240
days, T2 – 250 days and T3 – 260 days after sowing) by three conceptually
different harvesters. The results achieved indicate that the harvester type
significantly influences quality of harvested chamomile, whereas it is not
influenced by chamomile harvesting time. Quality of harvested chamomile was
classified into four categories, and it was observed that the greater number of
rotations of a picking device increased the content of the first category of quality.
The harvester A achieved 54.79% of the first category of quality in respect to the
harvester B achieving 50.26% and the harvester C with 42.93%.

AB - Dobra procena vremena hlađenja i zamrzavanja
može obezbediti efikasan i ekonomičan rad
rashladnog sistema u tehnološki zahtevanim
specifičnim uslovima proizvodnje.
Prehrambeni materijali imaju promenljivo
termičko ponašanje zbog složene strukture i
sastava, različitih dimenzija i osobina pakovanja
i slično, tako da je teško predvideti dinamiku
njihovog hlađenja što može uticati na kvalitet i
cenu finalnog proizvoda.
U ovom radu je analizirana tehnologija pripreme
jogurta hlađenjem u dve faze sa stanovišta
dve najčešće korišćene metode u inženjerskoj
praksi za predviđanje vremena hlađenja
(metoda faktora f–j i metoda “Equivalent Heat
Transfer Dimensionality”).
Rezultati dobijeni ovim metodama dobro se
slažu sa projektovanim kapacitetom rashladnog
sistema i potvrđuju veliki uticaj dimenzija i
geometrijskog oblika hlađenog proizvoda na
vreme trajanja rashladnog procesa. Analize
ukazuju na to da se posmatrane metode mogu
efikasno koristiti u nalaženju odgovarajuće
veličine i oblika ambalaže proizvoda.
