AB - The focus of our work is on the most recent results in fixed point theory related to contractive mappings. We describe
variants of (s, q, φ, F)-contractions that expand, supplement and unify an important work widely discussed in the
literature, based on existing classes of interpolative and F-contractions. In particular, a large class of contractions
in terms of s, q, φ and F for both linear and nonlinear contractions are defined in the framework of b-metric-like
spaces. The main result in our paper is that (s, q, φ, F)-g-weak contractions have a fixed point in b-metric-like
spaces if function F or the specified contraction is continuous. As an application of our results, we have shown the
existence and uniqueness of solutions of some classes of nonlinear integral equations.

A new situation to note about the obtained boundaries is the symmetry in the upper and lower boundary, where the upper boundary differs by a constant from the lower boundary. New consequences of the inequalities were obtained in terms of the Riemann-Liovuille fractional integral and in terms of the standard integral.

AB - In this manuscript, we generalize, improve, and enrich recent results established by Budhia et al. [L. Budhia, H. Aydi, A.H. Ansari, D. Gopal, Some new fixed point results in rectangular metric spaces with application to fractional-order functional differential equations, Nonlinear Anal. Model. Control, 25(4):580–597, 2020]. This paper aims to provide much simpler and shorter proofs of some results in rectangular metric spaces. According to one of our recent lemmas, we show that the given contractive condition yields Cauchyness of the corresponding Picard sequence. The obtained results improve well-known comparable results in the literature. Using our new approach, we prove that a Picard sequence is Cauchy in the framework of rectangular metric spaces. Our obtained results complement and enrich several methods in the existing state-of-art. Endorsing the materiality of the presented results, we also propound an application to dynamic programming associated with the multistage process.

In our approach, we use only the property (F1) of Wardowski while other authors employed all three conditions. Working only with the fact that the function F is strictly increasing on (0, +infinity)(m), we obtain as a consequence new families of contractive conditions in the realm of vector-valued metric spaces of Perov's type. At the end of the article, we present an example that supports obtained theoretical results and genuinely generalizes several known results in existing literature.

Further, in the last section of this paper, we correct and generalize the well-known Perov's fixed point result. We show that this result is in fact equivalent to Banach's contraction principle.

AB - Many authors used the concept of F-contraction introduced by Wardowski in 2012 in order to define and prove new results on fixed points in complete metric spaces. In some later papers (for example Proinov P.D., J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. (2020)22:21, doi:10.1007/s11784-020-0756-1) it is shown that conditions (F2) and (F3) are not necessary to prove Wardowski's results. In this article we use a new approach in proving that the Picard-Jungck sequence is a Cauchy one. It helps us obtain new Jungck-Fisher-Wardowski type results using Wardowski's condition (F1) only, but in a way that differs from the previous approaches. Along with that, we came to several new contractive conditions not known in the fixed point theory so far. With the new results presented in the article, we generalize, extend, unify and enrich methods presented in the literature that we cite.

Our results improve and complement several recent fixed point results for cyclic contractions in b -metric spaces established by George et al. (2015) and Nashine et al. (2014). Moreover, all the results are with much shorter proofs. In addition, an application to integral equations is given to illustrate the usability of the obtained results.

AB - In this paper we introduce the concept of a generalized φ-contraction for four mappings in solid cone metric spaces. Our results generalize, extend, unify, enrich and complement recent common fixed point results established by Chi-Ming Chen, Tong Huei Chang [Chi-Ming Chen, Tong-Huei Chang, Common fixed point theorems for a weaker Meir-Keeler type function in cone metric spaces, Applied Mathematics Letters 23 (2010) 1336-1341], I. Arand̂elović et al. [I. Arand̂elovié, Z. Kadelburg, S. Radenovicn;, Boyd-Wong-type common fixed point results in cone metric spaces, Applied Mathematics and Computation 217 (2011) 7167-7171] and A. Razani et al. [A. Razani, V. Rakočević, Z. Goodarzi, Generalized φcontraction for a pair of mappings on cone metric spaces, Applied Mathematics and Computation 217 (2011) 8899-8906]. Some examples are included which illustrate the cases when new results can be applied while old one cannot.

AB - The aim of this paper is to consider an Ishikawa type iteration process with errors to approximate the fixed point of two uniformly quasi-Lipschitzian mappings in cone metric spaces. We also extend some fixed point results of these mappings from complete generalized convex metric spaces to cone metric spaces. Our results extend and generalize many known results.

AB - Recently, Chao Wang, Jinghao Zhu, Bosko Damjanovie, Liang-gen Hu [Approximating fixed points of a pair of contractive type mappings in generalized convex metric spaces, Applied Mathematics and Computation 215 (2009) 1522-1525] proved some results for an Ishikawa type iteration process with errors, which converges to the unique common fixed point of a pair of contractive type mappings in complete generalized convex metric spaces. The aim of this paper is to consider this in the frame of abstract (cone) metric spaces. We extend some fixed point results of these mappings from complete generalized convex metric spaces to convex abstract metric spaces with the solid cone. Also, we have improved some results. Four examples are included.

These theorems generalize the recent results of Huang and Zhang (2007), Abbas and Jungck (2008), and Vetro (2007). Furthermore as corollaries, we obtain recent results of Rezapour and Hamlborani (2008).
