AB - Conventional corn production involves the use of granular fertilizer which distribution is carried out
with various types of fertilizer spreaders. As opposed to the conventional production, this research is
conducted with the assumption that using a combination of granular and liquid starter fertilizers, and
improved application techniques, achieve higher in grain yield. In this scientific paper, in addition to
the use of conventional mineral fertilizers, investigated the impact of mechanized application of
different norms of liquid starter fertilizer in the production of commercial maize. The application of
liquid starter fertilizer was performed simultaneously with sowing, with the existing seeder, adapted
with prototype machine for the application of liquid starting fertilizer. The results show that grain yield
in areas where was applied a method of application starter fertilizer, increased by 1.43 t · ha-1
compared
to the results obtained with conventional production.

AB - For the realization of a bumper crop of soya beans, it is also very important to
provide the right food for plants. Modern cultivation of soya beans implicates the use
of the different types of fertilizers as well as the different ways of their introduction to
soil. In this work was investigated the influence of mechanized application of liquid
starter fertilizer, besides the use of conventional mineral fertilizers. The prototype of machine had been adapted to the existing planting machine with which the application
of liquid starter fertilizer along with the seeding was enabled. The liquid starter fertili zer was applied in strips through the entire row, in quantity of 50 l·ha-1 and 75 l·ha-1.
The obtained results show that the harvest of soya beans grain on the parcel where the
application of liquid starter fertilizer was done, was higher for 1,15t·ha-1 in comparison
with the control parcel.

AB - The paper presents comparison of two soil tillage systems in maize, winter wheat and sunflower growing in Srem region, Serbia, during 2008-2011. Tillage systems and implements were: conventional system (CT) - plough, disc-harrow and combined implement, and conservation system (ST) – vibratory subsoiler, disc-harrow and combined implement. The aim of testing was comparison of different tillage systems energy consumption and its influence on yield and profit. Results indicate that conventional tillage (CT) system was the lower energy consumer with 433.18 MJha-1, or conservation (ST) system spent 10.08% energy more. In the first season the greatest yield of maize, 7,083 kgha-1, achieved conservation tillage (ST) system while conventional tillage (CT) system achieved 9.92% lower yield. Second season the greatest yield of winter wheat, 4,525 kgha-1, achieved with conservation tillage (ST) system with regard to conventional (CT) system with 3,577 kgha-1. Third season the greatest yield of sunflower 3,011 kgha-1, achieved conservation tillage (ST) system again, with regard to conventional (CT) system with 8.56% lower yield.
