AB - U ovom radu prikazan je način modelovanja drugog udara (zemljotresa), pojave čiji je
značaj zapažen tokom druge polovine 20 veka. Navedeni su konstruktivni sistemi kod kojih
je bitno razmatranje drugog udara. Detaljnije je prikazan model skeletne AB konstrukcije,
odnosno 2D AB fasadnog okvira fundiranog na bušenim AB šipovima, prečnika 60cm.
Dinamička interakcija tlo-šip, odnosno nelinearno ponašanje tla je modelovano
horizontalnim p-y krivama za pesak, primenom multiplastic link elemenata. Za
akcelerogram El Centro tokom vremenske analize (TH) razmatrani su: globalno pomeranje,
(lokalni) drift i stanje plastičnih zglobova.
AB - This paper presents the manner of modeling the aftershock (in an earthquake), the
phenomenon whose significance has been noted in the second half of the 20th century. Itlists the constructional systems in which the consideration of the aftershock is important. It
shows in more detail the model of the skeletal RC construction, i.e. the 2D RC facade frame
constructed on the 60cm-diameter drilled RC piles. The dynamic interaction soil-pile, i.e.
the non-linear behaviour of the soil is modelled with the horizontal p-y curves for sand,
applying multiplastic link elements. For the accelerogram El Centro during time history
(TH) the global and (local) drift, the condition of plastic hinges were considered.

AB - Smanjenje otvora žljeba može značajno doprineti efikasnosti zavarivanja i produktivnosti teških metalnih konstrukcija Uobičajena je upotreba uglova žljeba od 45° i 60°. Smanjenje ugla otvora žljeba smanjuje potreban broj zavara, čime se smanjuje trajanje zavarivanja, potrošnja materijala za ispunu i zaostali naponi i deformacije. Međutim, smanjivanje ugla žljeba dovodi do određenih poteškoća.
AB - Reduction in groove opening can significantly contribute to welding efficiency and productivity of heavy metal structures. It is common practice to use welded joint groove angles of 45° and 60°. Reduction of the groove opening angle decreases the necessary number of welding passes, thus decreasing the welding duration, filler material consumption and residual stresses and strain. However, groove angle reduction leads to certain difficulties. It is hard to control the arc in a narrow groove, which could lead to welded joint quality issues. In this paper, welding of butt joints made of 22 mm thick steel with the groove angle of 20° is shown. Welding was performed using the MAG procedure, with software controlled ar.

AB - In past two decades, the development of 9-12% Cr creep-resistant steel for critical components in coal-fired power stations that can withstand higher temperatures and pressures has been intensified in order to increase efficiency of supercritical plants. As the systems that can withstand ultra supercritical steam conditions are of an absolute necessity, it is an imperative to use the materials of adequate strength, physical properties and metallurgical stability at operating temperature. The aim is to prevent catastrophic failures arising based on a few mechanisms: leakage due to variation of the dimensions caused by creep, breakage-explosion due to fracture caused by stress and thermal fatigue due to cyclic stresses caused by heat. Welding is the most important process of joining the components in such plants, and the heataffected zone (HAZ) is often the weakest part of these structures. The variations of microstructures in HAZ affected by welding thermal cycle lead to inferior mechanical properties of this zone in comparison with base metal. In present paper, the effect of post weld heat treatment (PWHT) on behaviour of welded structure made of material P91 at an operating temperature of 600°C has been presented. Research was conducted on the specimens with simulated HAZ, namely in critical zone in which the cracks of type IV might occur. The R curve for J-R curve testing was generated using the single specimen technique on the single edge side grooved test specimens. The tool for tensile testing used for putting the specimens into furnace was of special design.

AB - Structural integrity and service reliability depend on the fracture resistance of a material. Cracks in the material are the locations of stress concentration, and elastic-plastic deformation can occur causing the development of mixed-mode type of fracture ahead the crack tip. Crack behavior in the elastic-plastic region is analyzed applying numerical and analytical simulation based on fracture mechanics parameters, characterizing the response of the material at the crack tip. Numerical and analytical results are compared with the corresponding experimental results obtained in previously performed fracture mechanics tests with standard single-edge notch bending SEN(B) specimens. The comparison shows an acceptable level of agreement, enabling application of the proposed numerical model of crack growth in the mixed-mode fracture analysis for structural integrity assessment.

AB - We present results of the combined design-theoretical investigation of the mechanism of crack growth at the onset of ductile fracture of NPP reactor pressure vessels. Micromechanical approach to the prediction of ductile fracture has been applied, according to which the volume fraction of voids in the deformed material is determined by finite-element method. On the basis of CT-specimen tests and known damage parameters, obtained on smooth spherical specimens, we obtained micromechanical criterion of crack growth initiation for ductile fracture.

AB - A thermomechanically treated aluminum alloy containing 4. 5% Cu, 0. 6% Mn, 0. 6% Mg and 0. 4% Si has been experimentally investigated with regard to its notch sensitivity. The thermomechanical treatment consisted of quenching and ageing with different periods of precipitation, and different degrees of a cold plastic deformation afterwards. Five series of smooth and notched specimens were tested on a standard tensile machine and fracture surfaces were studied by TEM replicas. The Notch-Yield Ratio (NYR) and the fracture appearance were used as a measure of the notch sensitivity. It was found that certain thermomechanical treatments cause notch sensitivity and brittle fracture of notched specimens, even in the case of the low value of sigma //0//,//2/// RHO ratio. Thermomechanical treatment consisting of 120 minutes precipitation and 30% or 40% deformation degree of cold rolling deformation can be recommended as the most suitable for structural application.
