Structural integrity analysis of the pre-stressed concrete dome of the Belgrade fair hall 1

AB  - Belgrade fair hall 1 is well known for its dome, which is still the world largest self-supported construction made of pre-stressed concrete, with its diameter of 106 m. In this paper the Finite Element Method (FEM) was performed to analyze different loading and supporting conditions. At the same time, crack growth in a support column was simulated by the extended FEM (XFEM). Results of numerical calculations indicate ingenious design of such a complex structure which was based on “hand” calculation decades ago, without computers. In addition to classical engineering and more advanced numerical calculations, risk based analysis was performed taking into account artificially introduced crack and Failure Analysis Diagram, obtained using stress intensity factor and net stress, as well as fracture toughness and critical stress. This analysis, made for the first time for Belgrade fair hall 1, proved that its structural integrity is jeopardized only when a crack reaches half the thickness of a steel bar.

AB  - Tehnička teorija savijanja nije primenljiva kod analize i projektovanja nestandardnih armiranobetonskih (AB) nosača, naročito kada su izloženi znatnim smičućim naponima ili pripadaju neregularnim oblastima, u literaturi poznate i kao D oblasti. Ove oblasti mogu biti sa geometrijskim neregularnostima (usled naglih promena dimenzija, naročito visina preseka) ili po silama (unošenje koncentrisanih sila i oblasti blizu reakcija oslonaca). Za analize ovih oblasti se koristi više metoda ali se metoda štapova (pritisnuti kosnici i zatege) najčešće primenjuje jer daje pouzdane rezultate, a lakša je za primenu od kompleksnih numeričkih proračuna, npr. MKE. Oblasti – zone D karakteriše odstupanje od Bernulijeve hipoteze po kojoj se analiziraju standardne oblasti B (dominantno izloženi savijanju). U takvim slučajevima se koriste uprošćene analize, koje daju dovoljno tačne rezultate, za praktične probleme. Korišćenje štapnih modela (strut – and – tie model, skraćeno STM na engleskom) je ilustrovano nizom rešenih primera za konstrukcijsku analizu. Razmatrani su pojedini specifični slučajevi analize. Prikazani su primeri iz gradnje modela i njihova primena za oblikovanje detalja armiranja. U radu se polazi od istorijata razvoja i teorijskih osnova za primenu ove metode kod armiranobetonskih (AB) konstrukcija temelja. Naglasak je na primeni temeljnih jastuka, tj. naglavnica (cap, na engleskom) kod fundiranja na grupi šipova, od dva do pet. Pri tome korišćene su i komentarisane neke međunarodne preporuke (ACI 318, EN 1992, fib 2010, AASHTO 2018, i dr.) i neki karakteristični radovi navedeni u popisu.

AB  - Osim sažetoga pregleda literature, rad sadrži komparativnu analizu armiranobetonskih (AB) zgrada pomoću analize indeksa oštećenja (DI) primjenom različitih metodologija. Seizmički odziv peterokatne okvirne AB zgrade, projektirane u skladu s konstrukcijskim normama Eurokod, analiziran je procjenom vjerojatnosti oštećenja i oštetljivosti. U analizi kojoj je cilj određivanje DI-ja i njegovih parametara primijenjena je metodologija Park–Ang. Provedene su nelinearna statička analiza (NSA) i nelinearna dinamička analiza (NDA) te su na temelju dobivenih rezultata oblikovane krivulje vjerojatnosti oštećenja i oštetljivosti koje su obrađene statističkom analizom. Rezultati su izračunani pomoću četiri različita modela DI-ja: model DIPA primjenom rezultata NSA i NDA (M1), modificirani model DIPA primjenom rezultata NSA i NDA (M2), model DIPA primjenom rezultata NSA (M3), te modificirani model DIPA primjenom rezultata NSA (M4).
AB  - In addition to a concise literature review, this study presents a comparative analysis of reinforced concrete (RC) buildings through damage index (DI) analysis using different methodologies. The seismic response of a five-story RC frame system building, designed in accordance with the EN structural Eurocodes, was analysed through fragility and vulnerability assessments. The Park–Ang methodology was used in the analysis for determining DI and its parameters. Nonlinear static analysis (NSA) and nonlinear dynamic analyses (NDA) were performed, and the fragility and vulnerability curves were constructed using the obtained results and processed through statistical analysis. The results were calculated using four different DI models: the DIPA model using both the NSA and NDA results (M1), modified DIPA model using both the NSA and NDA results (M2), DIPA model using the NSA results (M3), and modified DIPA model using the NSA results (M4).

AB  - Seismic actions cannot be predicted in time, location or intensity. Serious earthquake actions can cause the occurrence of different levels of damage of the elements and the structure as a whole, which can even lead to their collapse. The methods for evaluation of seismic performance of structures are discussed in this paper and the focus of the paper is on reinforced concrete (RC) buildings. Building structures are designed and built according to different standards that were valid at the time of their construction. Those standards were, more or less, less demanding than the current European, American and other modern standards. Criteria for the determination of damage degree are discussed in the paper. Review and comparison of international Code provisions related to this topic are discussed as well. Fragility analysis of existing buildings with different structural systems is a rational approach, based on the application of probabilistic methods. They are applied in order to determine and predict the structural performance and probable levels of damage. The classification of damage level and residual bearing capacity is essential after strong earthquake. This is necessary in order to decide the appropriate interventions, such as shoring and others. They are evaluated based on the condition of structures, considering: residual deformations, cracks, crush of concrete and so on. The methods of nonlinear analyses are used in order to determine the structural response and the results of the analysis are used for the fragility assessment. Post-earthquake assessment and analysis of seismic performance are analysed.

Some damages of RC bridges after strong earthquakes

AB  - Highway bridges in seismically active regions are often subjected to multiple earthquakes, including multiple main shocks during their service. Repeated seismic events result in reduced structural capacity and may lead to bridge collapse, causing disruption in the normal service. Serious earthquake events cause damage of the elements, with different damage level, even causing them to collapse. It is very important to save the damaged or weakened structures by emergency supporting or/and later strengthening, and to perform rehabilitation of their seismic resistance. The methods of evaluation of seismic resistance of damaged elements and structures are discussed in this paper. After evaluation of the damage degree and determination of the required demands and available seismic resistance of structures, redesign must be performed. Also, the method of rehabilitation of the elements and entire damaged bridge structures are analysed, including both traditional and advanced techniques. The focus of this paper is on reinforced concrete (RC) bridges. Post-earthquake assessment and analysis of the seismic performance of the bridges are analysed. Review and comparison of the international Code provisions related to topic are discussed as well. Criteria for the choice of structural interventions are discussed, as well.

abstract = "Highway bridges in seismically active regions are often subjected to multiple earthquakes, including multiple main shocks during their service. Repeated seismic events result in reduced structural capacity and may lead to bridge collapse, causing disruption in the normal service. Serious earthquake events cause damage of the elements, with different damage level, even causing them to collapse. It is very important to save the damaged or weakened structures by emergency supporting or/and later strengthening, and to perform rehabilitation of their seismic resistance. The methods of evaluation of seismic resistance of damaged elements and structures are discussed in this paper. After evaluation of the damage degree and determination of the required demands and available seismic resistance of structures, redesign must be performed. Also, the method of rehabilitation of the elements and entire damaged bridge structures are analysed, including both traditional and advanced techniques. The focus of this paper is on reinforced concrete (RC) bridges. Post-earthquake assessment and analysis of the seismic performance of the bridges are analysed. Review and comparison of the international Code provisions related to topic are discussed as well. Criteria for the choice of structural interventions are discussed, as well.",

AB  - In this paper, the seismic response of a three 5 story reinforced concrete (RC) frame system buildings is analysed through the fragility and vulnerability analyses. The constructions are designed in accordance with the structural Eurocodes. All three buildings have the same area, but different shape in the base. For the analysis of the response of structural system to the earthquake actions, the method of nonlinear static (NSA) analysis was applied and based on the obtained results, fragility probability density functions and vulnerability curves were constructed using statistical methods. Structural damage state threshold parameters are determined based on the methodologies described in RISK-UE project. Comparative analysis of the structural damage probability for the three analysed RC buildings is applied in both main directions and as the whole as well. Based on the analysis results, final remarks and conclusions were formulated.

AB  - This paper presents the methodology for determining changes in lateral displacements,
inclination and bending moments and shear forces in piles for static loading. The coefficients of
flexibility and stiffness for piles embedded in different types of soil are shown. Values were
determined for the mentioned deformations and forces, which were presented and analyzed. The
effects of pile depth for horizontal loading were considered. For the vertical load, the impacts of
the depth of the pile according to Vesić were analyzed, such as the friction distribution of along the
pile shaft and the bearing capacity ratio between the base and the shaft. The results include piles
with a hinged connection with the caps and for piles restrained in the caps. The Winkler model was
used for the p-w curve connection for nonlinear analysis. The relationship between the stiffness
matrix and the flexibility of the pile caps is shown. The friction on the pile casing was also analyzed
according to the recommendations of several authors.
AB  - U ovom radu prikazana je metodologija određivanja promene bočnih pomeranja, nagiba i
momenata savijanja i smičućih sila u šipovima, za statičko opterećenje. Prikazani su koeficijenti
fleksibilnosti i krutosti za šipove ugrađene u različite vrste tla. Određene su vrednisti za pomenute
deformacije i sile koje su prezentirane i analizirane. Razmatrani su uticaji po dubini šipa za
horizontalno opterećenje. Za vertikalno opterećenje analizirani su uticaji po dubini šipa prema
Vesiću, kao što je raspodela trenjem po omotaču šipa i odnos nosivosti bazom i omotačem.
Rezultati obuhvataju šipove sa zglobnom vezim sa naglavnicom i za šipove uklještene u naglavnicu.
Za vezu p-w krive za nelinearnu analizu korišćen je Winklerov model. Prikazana je veza matrice

AB  - Analiza robusnosti konstrukcija je veoma kompleksna sa velikim brojem uticajnih parametara na ponašanje sistema izloženeg određenom dejstvu. Robusnost predstavlja mogućnost konstrukcije da se, u slučaju lokalnog/delimičnog loma odupre progresivnom rušenju. U ovom radu analiziran je uticaj uklanjanja ugaonih stubova na robusnost konstrukcije AB višespratne zgrade. Upoređene su razlika odgovora konstrukcije pri uklanjanju stubova na uglu zgrade i izvorne konstrkcije. Komparativna analiza izražena je sračunatim vrednostima graničnih stanja, krivih povredljivosti i procenjenih gubitka.
AB  - The robustness of structures is a very complex problem with a large number of parameters that influence the analysis settings and the results that describe the behaviour of the system exposed to a certain action. Robustness represents the ability of a structural system to resist the progressive collapse. In this paper, the effect of the removal of the corner columns on the structural response and robustness of the structure was analysed. The goal of this research was to compare the difference of the structural response of the building, before and after the removal of the corner columns. In this paper, the effect of the removal of the corner columns was described through the limit state values comparison, fragility and vulnerability curves. Based on the analysis, obtained results are compared and final remarks and conclusions were formulated.

Vertical stiffness of piles and redistribution due to interaction for linear change of soil modulus by depth

AB  - The paper shows some characteristic problems of determining the axial stiffness of the pile and redistribution in a group. Some advantages and drawbacks of the use of individual design models are indicated. In the redistribution, the zero iteration is considered, which a condition is when the connecting beams or rafts are fully flexible, and the final iteration when the deflections of the piles are equalized. In the zero iteration, all the forces in the piles are of the same intensity, because only the centrically loaded raft is considered, but the deflections of individual piles during interaction are different. Due to the symmetry of the problem, in the zero iteration, only the certain groups have the equalized deflections of piles, but there is no equalized deflection of the groups themselves. In the final iteration, a distribution of forces in which the deflections of the individual piles during interaction are equalized is sought, i.e. a tolerance that is a relative error of 10 -5 in relation to the mean deflection is set. The soil model with the linear distribution with depth is considered. The effect of the distance of piles on the interaction is studied. AB  - U radu je dat osvrt na termine koji se koriste u oblasti održavanja i

Komentarisane su i analizirane neke Preporuke za integrisano projektovanje
eksploatacionog veka i održavanja kao novog pristupa koji doprinosi održivosti
konstrukcija betonskih zgrada (društveni, ekonomski i ekološki aspekti). Obuhvaćena je
metodologija pregleda i procene stanja zgrada. Prikazana je internacionalna i naša
regulativa u ovoj oblasti (Pravilnik za konstrukcije) i Zakon o održavanju zgrada.
Komentarisane su metode održavanja (korektivno, preventivno, prema stanju i
kombinovano).
AB  - The paper reviews the terms used in the field of maintenance and operational
life of concrete buildings in compliance with new international documents. Some
Recommendations for integrated design of service life and maintenance as a new
approach that contributes to the sustainability of concrete building structures (social,
economic and ecological aspects) are commented and analyzed. The methodology of
inspection and assessment of the condition of buildings is covered. Some of International
and our regulations in this area (Regulations for Structures) and the Building
Maintenance Act are presented. Maintenance methods (corrective, preventive, according

AB  - This paper involves the analytical and numerical calculations of the the largest pre-stressed concrete free-standing structure in the world - the Dome of the "Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair", designed by a well-known Serbian scientist and engineer Branko Zezelj, one of the founders of the Institute for testing of materials IMS in Belgrade, conveniently positioned just across the street, best known for coming up with a concrete pre-stressing system, which is still widely used today. As a part of this research, this large and unique structure will be analyzed from point of view of structural integrity, including numerical simulation of crack growth in one of its support columns. Presented analyses also include the calculation of forces and moments in the structure as a whole, while also taking into account foundation displacements in the columns.

Robustness and fragility of the RC building designed according to YU-81 and European Standards

AB  - In the countries of the former Yugoslavia, the first regulations for the design of seismically resistant structures date back to 1964, and the reason for their adoption was the Skopje earthquake in 1963. 
The next, much more advanced structural code dates from 1981 with a few additions. Many RC multi-storey buildings were designed and built according to the mentioned code for high-rise buildings from 1981, especially in larger cities. Some of the reasons were that they are mainly calculated according to their bearing capacity and global displacements values, and not according to the interstory lateral deformations. However, there was no possibility to correlate their reliability to resist earthquake actions with modern International documents (starting from ATC 40 (1996) - until the latest one from 2017, EC 8-part 3, FEMA 273, etc.), nor was it checked later. Recent earthquakes, including the Montenegrin (1979) earthquake, shortly before the 1981 Regulations, showed the vulnerability and even progressive collapse of reinforced concrete (RC) structures. In many countries, for more significant structures, an assessment of their condition from the aspect of vulnerability and/or robustness is performed. It is significant that many seismically resistant structures have shown less sensitivity to progressive collapse because their integrity is, to some extent, a barrier against the occurrence of progressive collapse. Such analyses precede the reinforcement detailing of existing structures to the calculated seismic action characterized, above all, by the intensity and return period. In this paper, a brief application of nonlinear modern methods of analysis and reliability assessment of these structures, with risk analysis according to the performance limit states of the building is performed. The robustness and seismic fragility of two models of an RC building with the same geometric characteristics were analysed, with one building designed according to European building design standards and the other according to Yugoslav regulations from 1981. The goal was to establish the difference in the performance of the two structures, because there is a large number of a reinforced concrete buildings designed by applying old codes in this region. The methodology of calculation and design of RC buildings, necessary for the mentioned analyses, is described in the paper. Numerical analyses were conducted on RC building designed according to Yugoslav standards from 1981 and according to the mentioned modern norms (Eurocode) with a comparison of the important indicators in the obtained results.

AB  - A post-elastic behaviour of buildings with reinforced concrete (RC) walls is analysed, using
the method of nonlinear static analysis. Two models, both with different RC wall
reinforcement detailing, are used for the comparative analysis of the building behaviour.
Walls are modelled as column-rigid beam elements with fiber nonlinear hinges, but with
different distribution and quantities of the reinforcing steel in both model. The model with
RC walls that have boundary elements is chosen as a referent model for comparative
analysis. Based on the results of nonlinear analysis method, target displacement and inter-
story drift values, some conclusions and recommendations are given.
AB  - Analiziran je sistem post-elastičnog ponašanja zgrada sa armirano-betonskim (AB)
zidovima, primenom metode nelinearne statičke analize. Za uporednu analizu ponašanja
zgrade koriste se dva modela, oba sa različitim detaljima armiranja AB zidova. Zidovi su
modelirani kao sistemi stubova i krutih greda sa vlaknastim modelima plastičnih zglobova,
ali sa različitim rasporedom i količinama armature u oba modela. Kao referentni model za
komparativnu analizu, odabran je model sa AB zidovima koji imaju ivične elemente. Na
osnovu rezultata dobijenih primenom metode nelinearne analize, ciljnih i međuspratnih
pomeranja, date su odgovarajuće preporuke.

AB  - The paper presents the provisions of the Standards that regulate the methods
of the analysis and detailing of joints and connections of structural elements. Norms are
covered in ACI 318, Eurocode 2 and 8, Code New Zealand, fib Model Code 2010
(2013), and their bulletins. Analyses and shaping of connections according to the
mentioned norms and literature depending on the stress states to which the elements are
exposed are presented. The recommendations of individual international associations
were also analysed in PCI Design Handbook Precast and Prestressed concrete, ACI C
533 Guide Precast concrete, Guidelines for the use of Structural Precast Concrete (New
Zealand). For some connections (loops) and other analyses, based on recent studies of
their behaviour under load that simulate seismic actions, approximate analyses are also
presented.
AB  - У раду су приказане одредбе Норми којима се регулише начин анализе и
обликовања детаља спојева и веза конструкцијских елемената. Обухваћене су
норме ACI 318, Eurocode 2 i 8, Code New Zeland i fib Model Code 2010 (2013) и
њихови билтени. Преказане су анализе и обликовање веза према поменутим
нормама и литератури зависно од напонски стања којима су елементи изложени.
Анализиране су и препоруке појединих интернационалних удружења PCI Design
Handbook Precast and Prestressed concrete, ACI C 533 Guide Percast concrete,
Guidelines for the use of Structural Precast Concrete (New Zealand) и други. За неке
везе (петљама) и друге анализе засноване су на новијим истраживањима њиховог
понашања под оптерећењем које симулира сеизмичка дејства приказане су и
приближне анализе.

abstract = "The paper presents the provisions of the Standards that regulate the methods
of the analysis and detailing of joints and connections of structural elements. Norms are
covered in ACI 318, Eurocode 2 and 8, Code New Zealand, fib Model Code 2010
(2013), and their bulletins. Analyses and shaping of connections according to the
mentioned norms and literature depending on the stress states to which the elements are
exposed are presented. The recommendations of individual international associations
were also analysed in PCI Design Handbook Precast and Prestressed concrete, ACI C

Zealand). For some connections (loops) and other analyses, based on recent studies of
their behaviour under load that simulate seismic actions, approximate analyses are also
presented., У раду су приказане одредбе Норми којима се регулише начин анализе и
обликовања детаља спојева и веза конструкцијских елемената. Обухваћене су
норме ACI 318, Eurocode 2 i 8, Code New Zeland i fib Model Code 2010 (2013) и
њихови билтени. Преказане су анализе и обликовање веза према поменутим
нормама и литератури зависно од напонски стања којима су елементи изложени.
Анализиране су и препоруке појединих интернационалних удружења PCI Design
Handbook Precast and Prestressed concrete, ACI C 533 Guide Percast concrete,
Guidelines for the use of Structural Precast Concrete (New Zealand) и други. За неке
везе (петљама) и друге анализе засноване су на новијим истраживањима њиховог
понашања под оптерећењем које симулира сеизмичка дејства приказане су и
приближне анализе.",

AB  - U ovom radu, analizirani su konstruktivni sistemi zgrada sa armirano-betonskim (AB) zi-
dovima sa fokusom na njihovo post-elastično ponašanje, primenom metoda nelinearne statičke
i dinamičke analize. Tri modela zgrada sa različitim detaljima armiranja AB zidova su ana-
lizirana i upotrebljena za uporednu analiza seizmičkog odgovora zgrade. Rezultati analize su
iskorišćeni za upoređenje odgovora zgrada, na seizmička dejstva, sa zidovima projektovanim
prema EC8 (koji sadrže ivične elemente) i zgrada sa ravnomerno raspoređenom armaturom u
poprečnom preseku AB zidova. Zidovi su modelirani kao sistemi stubova i krutih greda sa vlak-
nastim modelima plastičnih zglobova, ali sa različitim rasporedom i količinama armature u sva
tri modela. Kao referentni model za komparativnu analizu, odabran je model sa AB zidovima
koji imaju ivične elemente. Na osnovu rezultata dobijenih primenom metoda nelinearne analize,
date su odgovarajuće preporuke
AB  - In this paper, a wall structural system building (acc. to EC8), with reinforced concrete
(RC) walls is analysed. The focus is on analysing the system post-elastic behaviour, using the
nonlinear static and dynamic analysis methods. Three models (each with different RC wall rein-
forcement detailing) are used for the comparative analysis of the building behaviour. The results
of this analysis are used to compare the response of buildings with the walls designed according
to EC8 (with boundary elements) and buildings with uniformly distributed rebar in the RC wall
cross-section. Walls are modelled as column-rigid beam elements with fiber nonlinear hinges,
but with different distribution and quantities of the reinforcing steel in each model. The model
with RC walls that have “boundary” elements modelled as a part of the wall is chosen as a refer-
ent model for comparative analysis with the other two models. Based on the results of nonlinear
analysis methods some conclusions and recommendations are given.

AB  - The paper presents a seismic analysis of the structure-pile-soil system, of a 2D RC frame. The analysis of individual system elements and some potential damage on two Vrancea accelerograms, VR77NS and VRfoc86NS are presented. The impact of the response spectra is provided for VR77NS, because the structure enters the resonant area and the damage increase considerably. Local drift diagrams during the earthquake, and the model damage featured as plastic hinges condition at the end of accelerograms are provided. It is indicated that it is necessary to introduce a dynamic interaction of the structural system, which includes not only the piles, but soil as well, because it became possible at the present level of scientific and technological progress of the human kind.
AB  - U radu su prikazani neki elementi analize šipova. Detaljnije je prikazana seizmička analiza sistema konstrukcija-šipovi-tlo, jednog 2D AB rama. Prikazan je analiza pojedinih elemenata sistema, neka moguća oštećenja na dva akcelerograma Vrančee, VR77NS i VRfoc86NS. Uticaj spektra odgovora dat je za VR77NS, jer konstrukcija tada ulazi u rezonantno područje i značajno se povećavaju oštećenja. Dati su dijagrami pomeranja,krajeva stubova (local drift) tokom zemljotresa i oštećenja modela kao stanja plastičnih zglobova na kraju akcelerograma. Ukazano je na neophodnost uvođenja dinamičke interakcija sistema konstrukcija u koje je potrebno uključiti na samo šipove, već i tlo, jer to sada omogućava postignuti naučno tehnološki razvoj čovečanstva.

AB  - U radu je prikazana procedura evaluacije seizmičkih performansi interakcije šip-tlo inkrementalnom nelinearnom dinamičkom analizom (INDA -Incremental Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis). Ulazni signal u sistemu je tretiran preko generisanih veštačkih akcelerograma, a koji su dodatno procesirani po slojevima tla do osnovne stene. Postprocesiranje INDA analiza izvršeno je posebno za stub, a posebno za šip, tako da su konstruisane krive PGA=f(DR) u kapacitativnom domenu. Za ovako konstruisane krive određeni su performansni nivoi, a na osnovu određenih DR i PGA parametara sprovedene su regresione analize. Krive povredljivosti su konstruisane na osnovu rešenja regresione analize i teorije verovatnoće log-normalne raspodele. Takođe, konstruisane su i krive pouzdanosti na osnovu rešenja analize povredljivosti. Metodološki postupak za analizu seizmičkih performansi, prezentovan u ovom istraživanju, omogućava integrisano kvantitativno-kvalitativno razmatranje i evaluaciju kompleksne interakcije konstrukcija-tlo (SFSI -Soil-Foundation-Structure Interaction).
AB  - The purpose of this paper is to present the methodology for performance-based seismic evaluation of soil-pile-bridge pier interaction using the incremental nonlinear dynamic analysis (INDA). The system's input signal was treated through the generated artificial accelerograms which were subsequently processed by soil layers and for the bedrock. The INDA analysis was post processed separately for the pier and for the pile, so that the constructed PGA=f(DR) curves are in the capacitive domain. For these curves the authors identified the performance levels, while the regression analyses were conducted based on the specific DR and PGA parameters. Fragility curves were constructed based on the solutions of regression analysis and the probability theory of log-normal distribution. Based on the results of fragility analysis, reliability curves were also constructed. The methodological procedure for seismic performance analysis presented in this study provides an integrated quantitative-qualitative consideration and evaluation of the complex soil-foundation-structure interaction (SFSI).

(STM), which give reliable results, are used. In this paper we present a review of

international recommendations are also commented (ACI, EN 1992, etc.).

U takvim slučajevima se koriste uprošćene analize, koje daju dovoljno tačne rezultate, za praktične probleme. Rad je usmeren na primenu štapnih modela (pritisnuti kosnici i zatege) kod analize i oblikovanja detalja temeljnih kapa („jastuka“) kod fundiranja na šipovima. Pri tome korišćene su i komentarisane neke međunarodne preporuke (ACI, EN 1992, i dr.).

AB  - U radu je sprovedena komparativna nelinearna statička (NSA) i nelinearna dinamička analiza (NDA) seizmičkog ponašanja rama kao dela skeletne konstrukcije AB zgrade fundirane na šipovima. Da bi se dobila realnija slika ponašanja ramovske konstrukcije u analizu je uključena interakcija konstrukcija - temelj - tlo. Pri tome u proračunski model je uključena i linearno-nelinearna dinamička interakcija šip-tlo korišćenjem link elemenata. Konstrukcija temelja sastoji se od bušenih šipove prečnika 60cm. Tlo je modelovano sa više (linijskih) plastičnih veznih elemenata, kao p-y krivama, sa obe strane šipa, za potopljen krut pesak, i uz pretpostavku da p-y krive (eksperimentalno određene nelinearne krive zavisnosti: pomeranje/pritisak, u tlu po dubini šipa) primaju samo pritisak. Analizom je ukazano na probleme, koje prate izdvajanje 2D ramova kao reprezenta regularne prostorne 3D konstrukcije. Proučen je uticaj pojave i lokacije pojedinih plastičnih zglobova na seizmičke performanse analiziranog konstruktivnog sistema, i analizirana relativna spratna pomeranja (driftovi). Zaključeno je da se analizom 2D rama u interakciji sa temeljom i tlom, mogu dobiti dovoljno tačni rezultati ponašanja i ocene seizmičkih performansi skeletne AB višespratne zgrade. To je značajno jer uvođenje prostorne konstrukcije u ovakve analize je veoma kompleksno i zahtevno.
AB  - Comparative non-linear static (NSA) and non-linear dynamic analyses (NDA) of 2D frames (as parts of skeletal 3D structures) of RC buildings founded on piles are presented in this paper. In order to produce a more realistic presentation of behaviour of a frame structure, the analysis involves a structure-foundation-soil interaction. Also, the model involves a linear-non-linear dynamic pile-soil interaction, using link elements. The foundation consists of drilled piles having 60 cm in diameter. The soil is modelled using Multi-linear plastic link elements, as well as with p-y curves, on both sides of the pile, assuming that p-y curves transfer only compression (p-y curves are experimentally determined non-linear relationships of displacement/pressure in soil, along the depth of a pile). The analysis shows the problems which accompany extraction of a 2D frame, as a representative of a regular 3D space frame. The impact of onset and location of individual plastic hinges on seismic performances of the analyzed structural system are investigated, and relative floor drifts are analyzed. It was concluded that the analysis of 2D frame, in the interaction with the foundation and soil, may provide sufficiently accurate results of behaviour and assessments of seismic performances of skeletal RC multi-storey building. It is important, because introduction of a spatial structure in such analyses is very complex and challenging.

AB  - The paper presents a multidisciplinary approach to the assessment of seismic performances based on the Performance-Based Earthquake Engineering (PBEE), taking into account the multi-criteria optimization theory in analyzing the priority methods for bridge rehabilitation/strengthening. One bridge model was subjected to nonlinear static pushover analyses (NSPA), target displacement analyses using the spectrum capacity method (CSM), vulnerability analyses, and reliability analyses, while for a damaged bridge, in addition to be considered using the above methods, was also analyzed using the VIKOR method of multi criteria optimization. Seismic performances were determined based on monitoring the system's plastification and analyzing the relevant parameters for the level of target displacement, such as target displacement, total shear force, spectral displacement, spectral acceleration, vibration period, damping and ductility. The phases of damage were considered using the probabilistic analysis of vulnerability and reliability: slight, moderate, extensive and complete, as a function of system ductility.

AB  - The purpose of this paper is to present the methodology for performance-based seismic
evaluation of soil-pile-bridge pier interaction using the incremental nonlinear dynamic analysis
(INDA). The INDA analysis was post processed separately for the pier and for the pile, so that the
constructed PGA=f(DR) curves are in the capacitive domain. For these curves the authors identified
the IO, CP i GI performance levels, while the regression analyses were conducted based on the
specific DR and PGA parameters. Fragility curves were constructed based on the solutions of
regression analysis and the probability theory of log-normal distribution. Based on the results of
fragility analysis, reliability curves were also constructed.
AB  - U radu je prikazana procedura evaluacije seizmičkih performansi interakcije tlo-šip-stub
mosta inkrementalnom nelinearnom dinamičkom analizom (INDA). Postprocesiranje INDA analiza je
sprovedeno posebno za stub, a posebno za šip, tako da su konstruisane krive PGA=f(DR) u
kapacitativnom domenu. Za ovako konstruisane krive određeni su IO, CP i GI performansni nivoi, a
na osnovu određenih DR i PGA parametara sprovedene su regresione analize. Krive povredljivosti su
konstruisane na osnovu rešenja regresione analize i teorije verovatnoće log-normalne raspodele, a za
PGA meru intenziteta. Takođe, konstruisane su i krive pouzdanosti na osnovu rešenja analize
povredljivosti.
